🔥 GENERALS OF IMPACT | ARCHBISHOP EZEKIEL GUTI

“Learn and read English and you shall preach to many countries.”

According to his ministry’s testimony, these were the words a young Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti received while seeking God in the bush in colonial Southern Rhodesia.

At the time, he had limited formal education, no international connections and no worldwide ministry behind him.

Yet the young man from rural Zimbabwe would eventually become the founder of ZAOGA Forward in Faith Ministries International — a movement that would spread across more than 100 nations and states.

But how did a young African man from such humble beginnings build a ministry that would outlive him and impact generations?

His remarkable journey involved prayer, sacrifice, missions, education, institution-building and a powerful conviction that Africa could take the Gospel to the nations.

Archbishop Ezekiel Guti lived to be 100 years old — but the institutions and generations he raised continue his legacy today.

🔥 GENERALS OF IMPACT | DR S.D. GUMBI

“U-AMEN USEKHONA?”

For generations of South Africans, those words immediately brought one preacher to mind — Dr Sibongiseni David Gumbi.

Long before Facebook, YouTube and livestreaming, Dr S.D. Gumbi was carrying the Gospel into homes across South Africa through the power of radio.

Born in Mahlabathini near Ulundi in KwaZulu-Natal, he encountered Christ as a young man and went on to spend more than six decades in ministry.

He became a respected Assemblies of God minister, evangelist, gospel musician, mentor and spiritual father, serving for decades from his ministry base in Standerton.

But what made Dr Gumbi unforgettable was his ability to communicate the Gospel in a deeply African way.

He preached in rich isiZulu.

He used humour.

He used proverbs.

He sang.

He told stories ordinary people understood.

And then, in the middle of the message, he would ask:

“U-Amen usekhona?” — “Is Amen still there?”

Through Ukhozi FM, that voice travelled far beyond the walls of his church. Families, workers, taxi drivers, young people and elderly listeners could all become part of his congregation.

Even when declining health eventually confined him to a wheelchair, Dr Gumbi continued preaching.

On 14 July 2025, the legendary preacher passed away at the age of 85.

The microphone may have fallen silent, but the impact of his ministry remains through the sermons, music, churches, ministers and lives he influenced.

From Mahlabathini to Standerton.
From open-air evangelism to Ukhozi FM.
From preaching behind a pulpit to preaching from a wheelchair.

His message remained the same:

Jesus Christ saves.
Live right.
Love people.
Serve God.
Keep the Gospel uncompromised.

And perhaps there is only one appropriate way to end:

“U-AMEN USEKHONA?”

DR. MYLES MUNROE: THE MAN WHO TAUGHT THE WORLD ABOUT PURPOSE 🌍

He was born in the Bahamas and rose from humble beginnings to become one of the world's most influential Christian voices on purpose, leadership, vision and the Kingdom of God.

Dr. Myles Munroe challenged generations with a powerful question:

“Why were you born?”

His teachings travelled far beyond the Bahamas, reaching Africa, America and nations around the world. Pastors, leaders, entrepreneurs, young people and ordinary believers were challenged to discover their God-given purpose and maximize their potential.

Then, on 9 November 2014, tragedy struck.

Dr. Myles Munroe and his beloved wife, Ruth Munroe, were travelling to a leadership conference when their plane crashed in the Bahamas.

Their lives ended suddenly — but the message did not.

More than a decade later, his books, sermons and leadership teachings continue reaching a new generation.

But who was Myles Munroe before the world knew his name?

What shaped his passion for purpose? Why did he place such a strong emphasis on the Kingdom of God? And how did a boy from the Bahamas become a voice heard across the nations?

**The Legacy of Apostle Nicholas Bhekinkosi Bhengu – "Africa for Jesus and Jesus for Africa!"**

Apostle Nicholas Bhekinkosi Bhengu was one of the greatest evangelists Africa has ever produced. Born on **5 September 1909**, he dedicated his life to preaching the Gospel across South Africa and the African continent, leading countless souls to Christ.

After encountering Jesus Christ in **1929** during a Full Gospel revival in Kimberley, his life was completely transformed. Despite facing rejection, racial discrimination, and opposition—even from his own hometown—he remained faithful to God's calling.

His ministry became known through the powerful **"Back to God"** movement, where thousands experienced salvation, healing, deliverance, and the power of the Holy Spirit. Entire communities were transformed as halls overflowed with people hungry for God.

Apostle Bhengu planted **more than 2,000 churches** across Southern Africa. His ministry was built on three pillars: **evangelism, discipleship, and leadership development.** He believed that winning souls was only the beginning; believers had to be taught, equipped, and sent to impact their generation.

His passion for Africa took him to Malawi, Zimbabwe, Eswatini, and many other nations, as well as Japan, Europe, and North America. Everywhere he went, his message remained the same:

**"Africa for Jesus and Jesus for Africa!"**

He also established a strong women's ministry through the Mothers' Easter Conventions, recognizing the vital role of women in advancing the Kingdom of God. His unwavering faith, humility, and commitment to the Gospel continue to inspire generations of believers.

On **7 October 1985**, Apostle Bhengu went home to be with the Lord, leaving behind a legacy that continues to shape the Church across Africa.

May we be challenged by his example to preach Christ boldly, make disciples faithfully, and believe that **the Gospel is still the hope of Africa.**

We are hearing disturbing news about Pastor Witness Acts of Chosen Generation Church, but Christians are already jumping to criticize him without knowing the actual merits of the case.

Remember a few years ago when Dr. Tumi was caught up in that Lotto scandal? He was completely innocent. Why can't we wait until a case is finalized?

In this generation, we are far too quick to believe the media over the church. Imagine if Joseph were living today we would all believe he r***d Potiphar's wife just because there was "evidence," even though he was completely innocent.
