Greetings to everyone.
The South African government Department of Small Business Development (DSBD) headed by Minister Lindiwe Zulu, is sending a delegation of two high ranking officials within the Ministry, to attend the Adventist Business Expo 2017 on Monday 25-Sep-2017.

Chief of Staff and head of the Ministry, Mr Linton Mchunu, will be speaking on behalf of the Minister about opportunities available for small businesses in the department and the role played by the department (DSBD) in developing small businesses.

DSBD Gauteng provincial manager, Mr Colin Leshou, will present on the offerings of Small Enterprise Development Agency and Small Enterprise Finance Agency. They are both agencies of the DSBD.

May those who have businesses register ASAP.

May you please invite fellow Adventists, as this event is meant to empower all Adventists regardless of their geographic location and/or status of their business. Brand new businesses are more than welcome.

The Eastrand District Camp Meeting will be held at the Heidelberg Farm this year. The work of renovating and rebuilding has begun, don't be left out. Bring your hands, your skills, your knowledge and prayers. The time is now, let's make the Farm productive as a farm should be. Let the people find life and livelihood from the land. We will keep you updated on all developments.

Ordination of Elders—Election to the office of elder does not in itself qualify one as an elder. Ordination is required before an elder has authority to function.

Deacons Must Be Ordained—Newly elected deacons cannot fill their office until they have been ordained by an ordained pastor currently credentialed by the conference.

Ordination Service for Deaconesses—Such a service, like the ordination of deacons, would be carried out by an ordained pastor currently credentialed by the conference. The ordination service should be characterized by simplicity and performed in the presence of the church.

Seventh-day Adventist Statement of Faith #15: The Lord’s Supper: The Lord’s Supper is a participation in the emblems of the body and blood of Jesus as an expression of faith in Him, our Lord and Saviour. In this experience of communion Christ is present to meet and strengthen His people. As we partake, we joyfully proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes again. Preparation for the Supper includes self-examination, repentance, and confession. The Master ordained the service of foot washing to signify renewed cleansing, to express a willingness to serve one another in Christlike humility, and to unite our hearts in love.
