A Special Mass for Our Confirmation Godparents

As our young people prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, we had a special Mass dedicated to their Godparents and the important role they have been called to fulfil in their lives.

“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” — Proverbs 27:17

Being a Godparent is more than standing beside a candidate on the day of Confirmation. It is a commitment to:
Pray regularly for your Godchild and their faith journey.
Encourage them to grow closer to Christ and His Church.
Be a positive example of Christian faith and living.
Support them in times of difficulty and help them remain faithful.
Guide them through prayer, Scripture, the Sacraments and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Continue accompanying them in their faith after Confirmation.

May God bless our Godparents for saying “yes” to this beautiful responsibility and give them wisdom, patience and grace as they accompany their Godchildren on their journey of faith. Godparents, you are an important part of their spiritual family.

A Celebration of Faith, Uniformity and Song

Our St Cecilia Choir proudly presented their new uniform to the parish, a beautiful reflection of unity, dignity and devotion. Their presence was made even more special by the beautiful voices that filled our church with song, offered with love and dedication in praise of God.

St Cecilia, the patron saint of musicians and singers, reminds us of the power of music to lift our hearts and draw us closer to God.

“Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth.” — Psalm 96:1

May St Cecilia continue to guide and inspire our choir as they use their voices to serve, worship and bring joy to our parish.

Beautiful in uniform, united in faith, and blessed with voices that glorify God.

As we closed the month of June—a month dedicated to our fathers and the youth—the Daughters of St. Anne came together in a beautiful act of gratitude and service by honouring the men of Our Lady of Fatima Parish.

With hearts full of appreciation, they prepared and served warm soup as a simple yet meaningful gesture of love, fellowship, and thanksgiving for the fathers and men who faithfully serve our parish community.

May God continue to bless and strengthen all our fathers and young people as they journey in faith and service.

St Ann's sodality celebrates fathers with a special Father's Day Meal

In the spirit of love, gratitude, and service, the St Ann's Sodality came together to prepare and serve a special meal for fathers in celebration of Father's Day. The event was a heartfelt gesture to honour the fathers and father figures at Our Lady of Fatima for their dedication, guidance, and commitment to their families and the church community.

BoMme ba Anna worked tirelessly to plan, cook, and serve a delicious meal, creating an atmosphere of warmth and fellowship. The gathering provided an opportunity for parishioners to express their appreciation for the important role that fathers play in nurturing faith, providing support, and strengthening family bonds.

The celebration was filled with joy, laughter, and meaningful conversations as fathers enjoyed the meal prepared especially for them. Through this act of service, St Ann's Sodality demonstrated its commitment to fostering unity and showing gratitude to those who lead and inspire their families with love and faith.

The parish community extends its sincere thanks to the members of St Ann's Sodality for their generosity and hard work in making the Father's Day celebration a memorable occasion. May God continue to bless all fathers and grant them wisdom, strength, and good health as they fulfil their important vocation.

Jesus meek and humble of heart, make our hearts like unto thine.

A Joyous Celebration in the Month of the Sacred Heart

As the Church celebrates the Month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Sacred Heart of Jesus Sodality at Our Lady of Fatima Parish gathered in a spirit of faith, gratitude, and fraternity for a special celebration.

The Sodality joyfully welcomed three probationers into the second stage of their probationary journey through the presentation of their crosses, a significant milestone that marks their growing commitment to the spirituality and mission of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

The occasion also provided an opportunity to honour members whose dedication and faithful service have enriched the Sodality over many years. Special recognition was given to members celebrating 10 years and 35 years of membership, acknowledging their steadfast witness and devotion.

In a touching moment of remembrance, the Sodality paid tribute to departed members who have gone before us in faith. Their memories were lovingly celebrated through the presentation of candles to their families, symbolising the light of Christ that continues to shine through their lives and legacy.

The celebration was a beautiful reminder of the enduring call to live the love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus through faith, service, and unity within the parish community.
