The glory of God is often represented through consuming fire, showing that where the fire is, God’s presence is manifested.

Psalm 11:6 shows fire as an expression of God’s judgment. When God’s fire is present, there is no room for opposition.
• Fire represents spiritual security.
2 Kings 6:17 shows that God surrounds His people with heavenly protection. Like a wall of fire, God’s presence provides spiritual security.

Truths About the Priesthood

An authentic servant of God is someone chosen by God and given a divine mission.

Because priests carry God’s purpose and represent His presence, they become particular targets of spiritual opposition. Therefore, they must remain spiritually alert, maintain their altar, and keep the fire of prayer burning.

In this sermon, Shepherd Diam taught that walking in holiness begins with knowing our identity in Christ. Every believer who has been called into the priesthood must live according to God’s principles. A priest is not identified merely by title but by a life that reflects holiness, discipline, and the character described in the Beatitudes.

The priesthood is a ministry of service. In the Old Testament, not everyone could become a priest because specific rituals and requirements had to be fulfilled. Likewise, believers today are called to live differently, understanding that the life of a priest carries greater responsibility than that of someone who does not know God.

1. The Priesthood of Sacrifice (Leviticus 17:3–5)

A true priest offers sacrifices according to God’s instructions, not according to personal preferences. Everything done for God must be done His way, not ours. Obedience is the foundation of acceptable worship.

2. The Priesthood of Sanctification (Exodus 28:27)

A priest must be set apart for God. Sanctification is a lifestyle of holiness that prepares a believer to carry God’s presence and faithfully serve His purpose.

3. The Priesthood of Prayer (Exodus 28:29)

Prayer is not a religious routine but a sacred responsibility. A priest does not pray carelessly; he prays with understanding, purpose, and according to God’s principles so that his prayers become effective.

Through Christ, the requirements of the Law have been fulfilled, and we have been made kings and priests. We are no longer defined by the flesh or human lineage but are born by the will of God.

Using the example of Elijah (1 Kings 18:41–44), Shepherd Diam emphasized that prayer should produce results, release God’s power, and bring solutions to impossible situations. The depth of a believer’s prayer life often determines the level of spiritual results they experience.

In 1 Samuel 7:7, he taught that a priest must know where to “touch” spiritually to obtain God’s intervention. Through discernment and intimacy with God, believers learn how to approach Him effectively.

Finally, from 2 Samuel 24:18, he explained that difficult seasons require uncommon spiritual decisions. A priest must be willing to take positions that others are unwilling to take. As Jesus declared, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” True faith is built on revelation, and revelation comes from the Word of God.

The Principle of Holiness

In the Old Testament, sanctification was expressed outwardly. When a person sinned, an animal had to be sacrificed so that their sins could be covered and forgiven.

In the New Testament, holiness begins within. Through Christ, God transforms the heart before the outward life. Holiness is no longer just about external rituals but about an inward work that produces a life pleasing to God.

The Christian life is a life set apart for God’s purpose. Every believer has been called to participate in the Great Commission by making disciples of all nations.

Holiness is not something that can be imitated or performed for appearances—it is a life that must be produced through a genuine relationship with God. While a person may deceive other people, no one can deceive God, who sees the heart.

To become a carrier of God’s glory and presence, a believer must walk in holiness. God’s presence has the power to purify and transform every form of impurity, making holiness both possible and necessary for those who desire to carry His presence.

In this sermon, Pastor Christian Ilunga taught that God’s calling for believers is not merely to visit His presence but to become permanent carriers of His presence on the earth. Through the Holy Spirit, God’s glory is revealed in and through believers, enabling them to influence and impact the world around them. He emphasized that carrying God’s anointing requires a life of discipline, holiness, and complete dedication to Him. Without discipline and obedience, it is impossible to become a vessel that carries God’s presence.

The pastor explained that God works according to spiritual principles. Although God is omnipresent, He is not manifested everywhere. His manifestation is experienced where there is obedience and alignment with His principles. Using the laws of nature as an example, he illustrated that just as every seed produces after its own kind, God’s kingdom also functions according to established spiritual laws that cannot be ignored.

The first principle discussed was the Principle of Identification. Referring to John 8:3–11, Pastor Christian explained how Jesus transformed the identity of the woman caught in adultery. Under the Old Covenant, the law written on stone brought condemnation, but under the New Covenant, God’s law is written on the hearts of believers through grace. Christ no longer defines people by their past failures but by His redemption. He reminded the congregation that believers should not accept the labels placed on them by others but instead embrace the identity God has given them as His children.

He further taught that those who consistently manifest God’s glory are people who remain grateful regardless of their circumstances because they are conscious of who they are in Christ. God’s glory is revealed through believers who understand their identity as His children. While people may condemn, Christ offers grace and restoration. Jesus’ words, “Go and sin no more,” were not spoken as a condition for salvation but as a loving response to the grace already received. Unlike the Old Covenant, where obedience was motivated by fear of judgment, the New Covenant calls believers to obey God out of love. Grace transforms the heart from within, producing genuine obedience and a closer relationship with God.

The second principle was the Principle of Intimacy and the Presence of God. Pastor Christian emphasized that God’s presence has the power to transform lives in ways that rules and religious practices cannot. As believers draw near to God, His presence changes them from the inside out. He explained that God’s glory is manifested where there is intimacy with Him, not merely through outward religious activities. One reason many prayers seem unanswered is because people often pray without understanding God’s will or the purpose of their prayers.

He concluded by reminding believers that they are not ordinary people but God’s chosen ones, called to carry His presence and reflect His glory. Developing a constant awareness of God’s presence and cultivating intimacy with Him are essential for anyone who desires to become a true carrier of His presence on the earth.
