It has often been said that Africa’s Spiritual landscape is miles wide with in evangelism and an inch deep In discipleship. The problem is that this is not just true for Africa but for the Body of Christ as a whole. Times have changed and Christian leaders now more than ever need to be aware of their fast changing environment in order to survive in ministry long enough to accomplish their calling.
The role of Christian workers has become exponentially more demanding creating a whole new set of growing hazards we had never had the opportunity to study, understand and overcome. Our theological seminaries have remained effective in teachings relating to theology but somehow inadequate in preparing the minister adequately for his or her ministry environment, opening up the minister to undesirable hazards that could threaten the wellness of his person, family, ministry and community. These prevailing hazards normally lead to unhealthy behavioral trends, psychological problems, early exit from ministry, marital problems, ministerial suicide, addictions among many other undesirable outcomes. We believe that by creating adequate awareness to known hazards and continuously researching and learning about new ones, we can prevent new entrants into Christian leadership spheres from making avoidable mistakes. And by partnering with qualified and able organizations, we will be able to assist those who are currently experiencing a lack of balance in their ministry and personal lives.
