BAPS Charities Community Health Awareness Day | Johannesburg | 9 May 2026

Serving the community with care and compassion. Over 710 patients received free health screenings and support, delivered by 30 medical experts, 40 nurses, and 70 dedicated volunteers. The initiative also featured 12 expert-led medical presentations, providing valuable health education to the community. From clinical examinations and mammograms to blood donation, wellness sessions, and holistic healthcare services, the event made a meaningful impact on hundreds of lives.

A heartfelt thank you to every healthcare professional, volunteer, donor, and attendee who helped make this day a success. Together, we continue to build healthier, happier communities.

Devotees from around Gauteng gathered at BAPS Swaminarayan Hindu Mandir on the morning of 30 May 2026 to celebrate the Appearance Day of Bhagwan Murugan, known traditionally as Vaigasi Vishakham.

Puja was offered with due attention to the Agamic and Vedic worship of Murugan under the supervision of learned priests.

Traditional offerings of Carnatic music and Bharatnatyam complimented the occasion, creating an environment steeped in devotion and tradition.
