Aldersgate Methodist Church Glenhazel

Aldersgate Methodist Church Glenhazel Aldersgate is a small family church, part of the Johannesburg-Alexandra Circuit, Central District, Me All are welcome.

We have services at 09:00 (traditional combining contemporary songs with hymns), 10:30am (mainly in Sotho, Xhosa and Tswana with traditional liturgy). We have Holy Communion services on the first Sunday of the month.

Today we were reminded of the resurrection!

Thomas colloquially known as ‘doubting Thomas’ was so overcome with grief and the unfairness of the crucifixion that he failed to see the glory of the resurrection.

In our own lives we must not be so hung up on the our past pain, suffering and injustice that we fail to experience the glory of the resurrection.

God is with us always, at times all we need to do is shift our focus from grief to glory.
