Scripture: Isaiah 6 V 1
In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple.

DON'T WAIT FOR SOMEONE TO DIE TO SEE THE LORD.

Isaiah saw something that suprised him in the year that King Uzziah died. He saw the Lord sitting on a throne; high lifted up; and the train of His robe filling the temple.

Who was King Uzziah? Uzziah was a popular King; during his 52 year reign; Judah prospered. He developed many domestic projects and military strength; He was a man of authority; very rich and famous; His name spread abroad even in Egypt. His Name was on the lips of all people; He was a national hero.

But came a time of his death and his death was a national tragedy. Everyone begin to fear for the future; God emptied his throne and wanted people to trust Him more than man. I can envision Isaiah in national mourning with all people wondering about the future and he sees in his mind the empty throne of Uzziah.

Through the distortion of our tears; we need to remove our idols and begin to see the Lord seated on the throne. May we see God's glory filling the temple. God had to empty the throne so Isaiah could see Him. How we need to see God in the times of national crises and personal tragedy. God is still in control and still rules. Our greatest need is a new vision of God sitting on the throne and not men.

Today's Prayer.
Heavenly Father; open my eyes not to wait for someone's death in order to see You. May I not be like Isaiah who for most of his life thought the throne belonged to man. You will forever rule and sit on the throne of David. Amen.

Scripture: John 19:30 (b)..Jesus said, "It is finished"...

ONE DAY IT WILL BE FINISHED.

But what is it that was finished when Christ bowed His head on the cross? The work of redemption was done, The atonement for sin was made. As Jesus surrendered His Spirit, the veil of the temple was rent into two from top to bottom, and access made into the holiest for all who would enter.

He endured the cross, despising the shame, because of the joy set before him, that is the joy of receiving home the souls He had redeemed. He did all for our own sake. Taking all the pain so that we can be free, no one under this Earth can do that.

“It is finished” was, therefore, a shout of victory as He completed His work of suffering and sacrifice. Death seemed like defeat, but it was not defeat. He went down into the grave, but not to stay there. He came again, like a glorious conqueror, and because He lives all His people shall live also.

One day your marital challenges that you are going through will be finished. Your sicknesses will be a thing of the past. Your joblessness will be finished. Trust in the one who died on your behalf. Nothing is impossible with Him. He went to the grave and came back, His power supersedes any power in this world. Your story will one day change for good. Jesus never said "He is finished;" meaning He exist to see that your challenges comes to an end.

Today's Prayer.
I call unto You Jesus Christ of Nazareth who died on my behalf so that my sins may also be finished. I'm redeemed because of the blood that You shed for me on Calvary. Anything troubling me I know that its under Your control. One day I will shout victorious knowing that all my struggles, are "finished" in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen.
