It is with profound grief and hearts held together only by the Grace of God that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Christian Bongwe Diongo; a man whose life was a living testimony of faithful, wholehearted service to God and His people.
Brother Christian Diongo was a Shepherd at BRAAM Family Ministries, and he wore that responsibility with the full weight it deserved. He was also the Leader of our Intercession Team, not merely in function but in conviction. He was a man of prayer in the deepest sense of the word. He understood that intercession is not an activity but a posture, and he modelled that truth consistently and sacrificially.
His commitment to the Word of God was equally evident. As a member of our School of Preachers department, he pursued biblical knowledge with devotion and preached it with depth. He also served faithfully across other departments including the Social Welfare and Finance team β giving of himself wherever the need arose, with no hesitation and without condition.
His stewardship did not end at the church doors. In his professional life, Brother Christian excelled in accounting, investments, and finance; carrying the same integrity and excellence into his career that he demonstrated in ministry. He was a man who understood that faithfulness is not compartmentalised, and he proved it in every sphere of his life.
To know him personally was to encounter warmth, consistency, and a bright smile that never seemed to fade. He was present β the kind who checked in, and dedicated to supporting and encouraging others. His joy was genuine, and his walk with Christ was the kind that quietly inspired everyone around him to want more of God.
He was dearly loved by his family and friends, and that love was richly returned. His parents carried tremendous pride in the man he had become and rightly so. As an older sibling, he was a role model and a steady, supportive presence to his younger siblings, leading not just by word but by the example of his life.
We do not grieve as those without hope. But we grieve deeply, because the gap he leaves is one that will be deeply felt.
"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." β Psalm 34:18
We invite the body of Christ to join us as we honour the life and legacy of our leader, our brother, and our friend:
Rest in the arms of the Father, Shepherd Christian. You served wellποΈ
