BRAAM Family

BRAAM Family We are a warm family which welcomes people and makes them to speak the language of the heart of God ! It started in 2009 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

BRAAM Family stands for :
Believers with a Renewed And Awakened Mindset. We are a warm family which welcomes and makes people to speak the language of the heart of God. We are a ministry with a movement of young, dynamic, and passionate people from various backgrounds, nationalities, professional fields, married, and singles, coming together in fellowship and as a great army in the name of Jesus

Christ (our Lord and Savior) to spread the kingdom of God through inter-connections and outreaching to every corner of the world. We meet every Monday from 17:00 to 20:30 at Good News Church in 121 Juta Street in Braamfontein, Johannesburg/South Africa, for times of worship, prayer, discussion, and sharing of the Word of God. Giving is act that Jesus endorsed, and participated in. With a compassionate heart Jesus gave in every form and manner. Every seed sown into the Kingdom of God never yields an empty harvest. The seeds bears fruit, and it these fruits that benefit the body of Christ greatly. The seed sown in the present secures a harvest in the future, as you do not give to a ministry alone, but you show reference to the greatest Monarch, God almighty. If you wish to partner with us, or you desire to sow into the ministry financially, please feel free. Our banking details are listed below:

SUNDAY SERVICE: 10:00 - 12:30

TITLE: God Has Called You To Shine

"Arise, shine; for your light has come" (Isaiah 60:1). However, shining is not automatic; you have to permit your light to shine, and it is needed far beyond the four walls of the church.

A believer is defined by two things: identity and function. In Genesis 1:26, when God made us in His image and likeness, He gave us His highest attribute: love (1 John 4:8). Out of that identity flows function.

Jesus calls us salt and light, both capable of changing every environment they are placed in (Matthew 5:13–14). There are seven spheres of influence where believers are needed: religion, family, politics and government, art and entertainment, business and finance, education, and media. These are not secular spaces to be avoided. They are mission fields to be occupied!

The same verse that names our image and likeness, also commissions our reach: God declared, "Let them have dominion." Dominion is the product of walking in both image and likeness.

You have been made. Now it is time to be sent!

It is with profound grief and hearts held together only by the Grace of God that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Christian Bongwe Diongo; a man whose life was a living testimony of faithful, wholehearted service to God and His people.

Brother Christian Diongo was a Shepherd at BRAAM Family Ministries, and he wore that responsibility with the full weight it deserved. He was also the Leader of our Intercession Team, not merely in function but in conviction. He was a man of prayer in the deepest sense of the word. He understood that intercession is not an activity but a posture, and he modelled that truth consistently and sacrificially.

His commitment to the Word of God was equally evident. As a member of our School of Preachers department, he pursued biblical knowledge with devotion and preached it with depth. He also served faithfully across other departments including the Social Welfare and Finance team β€” giving of himself wherever the need arose, with no hesitation and without condition.

His stewardship did not end at the church doors. In his professional life, Brother Christian excelled in accounting, investments, and finance; carrying the same integrity and excellence into his career that he demonstrated in ministry. He was a man who understood that faithfulness is not compartmentalised, and he proved it in every sphere of his life.

To know him personally was to encounter warmth, consistency, and a bright smile that never seemed to fade. He was present – the kind who checked in, and dedicated to supporting and encouraging others. His joy was genuine, and his walk with Christ was the kind that quietly inspired everyone around him to want more of God.

He was dearly loved by his family and friends, and that love was richly returned. His parents carried tremendous pride in the man he had become and rightly so. As an older sibling, he was a role model and a steady, supportive presence to his younger siblings, leading not just by word but by the example of his life.

We do not grieve as those without hope. But we grieve deeply, because the gap he leaves is one that will be deeply felt.

"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." – Psalm 34:18

We invite the body of Christ to join us as we honour the life and legacy of our leader, our brother, and our friend:

Rest in the arms of the Father, Shepherd Christian. You served wellπŸ•ŠοΈ

Sunday Service: 10:00 - 12:30

Title: The Prayer Of A Righteous Person

The prayer of a righteous person avails much (James 5:16) but power in prayer begins with understanding where you are praying from.

You are not praying as someone desperate, hoping God might show up. You are praying from the position of Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. As He is, so are you in this world (1 John 4:17).

In Mark 4, Jesus told His disciples to cross to the other side. A great storm arose - and He was sleeping.

The word of God does not cancel opposition; it attracts it. The disciples panicked but Jesus arose, spoke to the storm, and there was a great calm.

Here is what changes everything for us today: back then, Jesus was next to them. Today, He is in us. The Holy Spirit – another one just like Jesus β€” lives in us (John 14:16).

That means we do not go and tell God about the storm. We speak to the storm, because God is in us. We pray from rest, not from fear.

We enforce the kingdom, not from a place of defeat, but from a place of victory πŸ”₯

SUNDAY SERVICE: 10:00 - 12:30

TITLE: Pentecostal Sunday

4 things the Holy Spirit does πŸ“Œ

1️⃣ He convicts believers of RIGHTEOUSNESS - not sin. He reminds you who you are (Romans 8:1)

2️⃣ He LEADS you - He doesn't possess you. He's powerful AND yet gentle (Romans 8:14)

3️⃣ He ATTESTS to your sonship - it's not you convincing yourself you're God's child. It's HIM confirming it (Romans 8:16)

4️⃣ He EMPOWERS you to be a witness - you may have been timid before Pentecost, but afterward? You become unstoppable. That's the evidence! (Acts 1:8)

What a tragedy to walk through life
without drawing on His help. πŸ•ŠοΈ

Save this. Fellowship with Him today. πŸ”–

"How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" - Romans 10:15

We took the name of Jesus to the streets of Cresta with signs raised, voices lifted, hearts burning!

Every hoot that rang out was a soul being reminded that they are loved by the God of the universe.

We went out ordinary, and came back changed πŸ™ŒπŸ½πŸ“―
