Christians are taught not to allow hatred, offense, bitterness, or the wickedness in the world to change their character. Instead, they must demonstrate patience, forgiveness, kindness, and compassion toward others. Even when society becomes selfish and morally corrupt, believers are expected to remain examples of God’s love because love is evidence of spiritual maturity and fellowship with Christ. The Bible teaches that people will recognize true disciples of Jesus by the love they show one another. Therefore, believers should continue to love sincerely, pray for others, help those in need, and reflect the character of Christ regardless of the challenges of the last days.

In the last days, one of the major signs Jesus spoke about was that the love of many people would grow cold. In **Gospel of Matthew 24:12**, Jesus explained that because wickedness and sin would increase, people would begin to lose genuine love, compassion, kindness, and concern for others. This means that many individuals would become selfish, unforgiving, disobedient, hateful, and focused mainly on themselves rather than on God and other people. Families, friendships, and relationships would be affected by betrayal, dishonesty, and lack of care. The Bible also teaches in **Second Epistle to Timothy 3:1–4** that people in the last days would become lovers of themselves, lovers of money, proud, and unthankful. However, believers are encouraged to continue walking in love, showing mercy, forgiveness, and compassion despite the condition of the world. True Christian love remains an important sign of faithfulness to God in difficult times.
