THE WEDDING FEAST

Jesus also told them other parables. He said,

“The Kingdom of Heaven can be illustrated by the story of a king who prepared a great wedding feast for his son.

When the banquet was ready, he sent his servants to notify those who were invited. But they all refused to come!

“So he sent other servants to tell them, ‘The feast has been prepared. The bulls and fattened cattle have been killed, and everything is ready. Come to the banquet!’
But the guests he had invited ignored them and went their own way, one to his farm, another to his business.

Others seized his messengers and insulted them and killed them.

“The king was furious, and he sent out his army to destroy the murderers and burn their town.
And he said to his servants, ‘The wedding feast is ready, and the guests I invited aren’t worthy of the honor.

Now go out to the street corners and invite everyone you see.’

So the servants brought in everyone they could find, good and bad alike, and the banquet hall was filled with guests.

“But when the king came in to meet the guests, he noticed a man who wasn’t wearing the proper clothes for a wedding.
‘Friend,’ he asked, ‘how is it that you are here without wedding clothes?’ But the man had no reply.
Then the king said to his aides, ‘Bind his hands and feet and throw him into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’' Matthew 22:1-13

MORAL OF THE PARABLE:

The King is the LORD, and He has invited us to partake in the marriage feast of the lamb (His Son; Jesus Christ), Some turned down the invitation to receive the Gospel with excuses; One went his way, another went to his farm or work and other went to their business— There are many today who give excuses for not receiving Christ. And many who insult and persecute the messengers of the gospel.

The King's invitation went out to everyone; in the streets corners, the Goodnews about Jesus goes out to everyone to be saved; the good and bad alike, and many received the gospel invitation. Those who were invited into the Wedding were expected to wear a WEDDING GARMENT provided by the King.

Beloved, those who are invited into paradise are clothed with the righteousness of God; "Even the Righteousness of God is by faith in Jesus Christ.."(see: Rom 3:22)

The King noticed a man WITHOUT a wedding GARMENT... They man did not submit to receive the KING'S wedding GARMENT, but decided to come in with his own clothes— There are many who go about establishing their own righteousness which are but filthy rags before God unable to attain salvation, you CANNOT attain salvation by your OWN WORKS, salvation is freely given and received through faith in Jesus Christ, the king gives us the garments of righteousness freely.

They Bible says
Romans 10:3kjv "For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God."

The King asked the Man who decided to come with his own Righteousness NOT submitting to the king's Garments of Righteousness;

'‘Friend,’ He asked, ‘how is it that you are here without wedding clothes?’ But the man had no reply.
Then the king said to his aides, ‘Bind his hands and feet and throw him into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’' Matt 22:12-13

Beloved, the proud and self righteous people who REFUSE to PUT THEIR FAITH in JESUS CHRIST, even though they may claim to know God, may find themselves cast into the lake of fire 🔥 where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’'

We are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, put on the Lord Jesus Christ and keep eyes fixed on Him (Rom 13:14, Gal 3:27, 2 Cor 5:21) and blessed are you in the kingdom of God

Revelation 19:9
"And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb.” And he added, “These are true words that come from God.”

We are all invited into the kingdom of heaven through the Goodnews about Jesus, no excuses or self righteousness can enter heaven but ONLY THOSE who put their FAITH in JESUS CHRIST.

The King of Kings and the Lord of lords is inviting you today to accept Jesus to be saved.

The Holy Spirit says "today if you hear His voice don't harden your heart" , trust in Jesus 🧎🏾

ARE YOU DEPRESSED OR SUICIDAL?

Take time and read this.....
Oftentimes thoughts of su***de are from the enemy of our souls, Jesus said " he (the enemy) came to steal, kill and destroy" John 10:10a

The devil will want you to end it all; his voices are filled with accusations and condemnation inorder to put you in a state of depression and destroy your peace.

Don't listen to the lies of the devil that makes you feel worthless or a failure.. listen, you valuable in the sight of God.

The price tag that has been placed on you is very High....

Don't look at yourself as a failure, because you have something precious in you just that you don't know it yet and the devil wants to destroy it by destroying you that is why he (devil) is giving you suicidal thoughts

EXAMPLE:
Assuming you go for a loan of $500,000 from a Bank, the Bank will ask for a collateral that is equal to the loan; that is your house, cars or properties. When the time comes and you fail to pay for your debt, the bank will seize your assets until the debt is paid.

We have been made in the image of God and therefore we cannot be redeemed with something lesser....The price tag for God's image is God.

Beloved, it doesn't matter who you are, or what you have done, you are precious in the sight of God and you are loved by Him, you are worth God because you are made in His image and likeness... do not be deceived by measuring your worth with the things of this world.

God came in the person of Jesus to die for your sins because you are made in His image

Did God tell you that you are a failure? *No*!...Jesus still died for you because you are worthy and precious

You don't know what God has planned ahead of you

Do not judge your future with your past, because God's plans outweighs our failures

• it took 100 years of Abraham's age to receive God's promise...he did not give up his faith

• it took 40years of taking care of sheeps for Moses to be visited by God at the burning bush, maybe, Moses was thinking he was a failure by running out of the palace of Egypt to suffer for 40yrs yet God has a plan.

• Prophet Elijah was contemplating su***de because he thought he had failed, but God revealed His plans to Him and he realized the goodness of God

My brother and sister, God has plans for you to....

You may feel you have lost it, but start seeking God and you will realise the goodness of God

If you find yourself in a state of depression, do this...

I want you to spend 7 days:

*EVERY MORNING*: read a Bible verse or verses and write down the lessons and how you understand the verses

*EVERY EVENING*: sing songs of praises and worship for at least 30 minutes or more

Do this for seven days and you will be delivered from suicidal thoughts...

WHEN THE VEIL IN TEMPLE WAS TORN
---------------------------------------------------------------
The veil in the Temple was torn from top to bottom, so that no one will have to doubt that it was the hand work of God Himself

Beloved, there was a veil or Curtain that separated the Holy place from the Most Holy place, However, when Jesus died on the Cross the curtain in the temple was torn from Top to bottom signifying that WE ALL have ENTRANCE into the holiest of holiest by the blood of Jesus and an END to the earthly Temple (see: Mathew 27:51,Heb 10:18-20)

The Bible says;

Hebrews 10:19
"And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus."

Beloved, because of what Jesus has done for us we all have access to the most Holy place to enjoy God's presence and fellowship with Him, for the blood of Jesus washes our sins away, making us clean to talk to God directly and have personal communion with Him. The Bible says;

Hebrews 10:20,22
"By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place.
let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water."

Hallelujah!!, Start practicing the presence of God and fellowship with Him, You have access to the Father in Christ.

The Bible says;

Hebrews 4:16 (Emphasis)
"So let us COME boldly TO THE THRONE of our gracious GOD. There we will receive His mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most."

Just as how God's presence is revealed and He spoke from the Most Holy place, so we all can approach the throne of God in prayer and we will find grace to help us.

Prayer is the opening of the heart to God...talk to God, Call on Jesus and He will answer you.

You can have a personal encounter with the living God through Jesus Christ who is the symbol of the sanctuary of God,.. God's presence is available to you in Christ.

We no longer need an earthly Temple, Christ death put an end to the old covenant laws of animal sacrifices because Christ offered Himself once for our sins. (See Heb 9:28)

SPIRITUAL FOOD AND SPIRITUAL DRINK FOR BELIEVERS

Man gets energy from food for his daily activities or work, the food taken in give strength and the water drunk refresh the body. Just as there's physical food and water that nourishes the body also there is spiritual food and water that nourishes the Spirit of Man

SPIRITUAL FOOD FOR BELIEVERS

Jesus said "it is written man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God" Matthew 4:4

The spiritual food for God's children or believers in Christ Jesus is the word of God.
Just us this food (God's word) is for man so also is the physical food we have, it is for everybody almost everybody eats I.e either breakfast lunch or supper sometimes takes all. But do we also take the spiritual food daily either in that manner ".. shall not live by bread alone (physical food) but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God(spiritual food)

The word of God is the spiritual food for all God's children— as we read, study and meditate on God's word day and night our strength is renewed daily. The word of God in a believer's heart gives him or her the strength or guides him or her through the day so as to walk with God.

" all ate the same spiritual food" 1 Corinthians 10:3

Studying the word of God daily draws you closer to God each day, meditating on the word of God day and night in your heart deepens your relationship with God and subsequently the word dominates your heart which then influence your attitude and behaviour. (Romans 15:4-5) the food for believers is to do the will of the Father John 4 34

SPIRITUAL DRINKS FOR BELIEVERS

As the physical drinks e.g water, minerals etc refreshes the body so is the spiritual drink which refreshes the spirit and soul of man. The spiritual water or drink that God gives freely to everyone anyone who asks him is the living water ( Holy Spirit)...
".... But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life John 4:14..".. and you would have asked him and he would have given you living water" vrs 10

God's children are refreshed and renewed in Union with the Holy Spirit "...and all drank the same spiritual drink for the drunk of that spiritual rock that followed them and that rock was Christ" 1 Corinthians 10:4

The rivers of living Waters is given to those who believe in Christ Jesus, the Bible says with the mouth we confess and with the heart we believe unto salvation we receive this living water when we open our heart to Jesus and yield our lives to obedience to His will. opening our hearts to hear from God and enriches our soul and Spirit in Union with the Holy Spirit it empowers us to abide in His word.

Revelation 3:20 "behold I stand at the door and knock if anyone hears my voice and opens the door I will come into him and done with him and he with me"

And lastly when we walk with Him each day by Faith and hide His Word in our hearts you will have the light of His truth to guide you

PRAYER

Oh Holy Spirit rivers of living water from the throne of God, fall afresh on me, sanctify my heart, take over the throne of my life, give me more of you, your holiness in sweet fellowship with you each day in my life, Lord Jesus my heart belongs to you, do unto me according to your word according to your promises in Jesus name

HE CLEANSES US FROM OUR SINS

"Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool." Isaiah 1:18

On the Cross, Jesus took our sins and gave us His righteousness that we should walk in it (see: 1Peter 2:24), the Bible says

"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus TO DO GOOD WORKS, which God prepared in advance for us to do" Ephesians 2:10 NIV (Emphasis)

Beloved, We are made righteous in Christ to walk in righteousness, thus, God commands us to be holy because the Spirit of holiness dwells in us ( see: Rom 1:3). As we yield our hearts to the Holy Spirit to walk in Him through faith we bear fruit of the gift of righteousness.

As a Christian or "Born again" believer you are made righteous in Christ, you are not a sinner but the righteousness of God dwells in every believer. You stand before God as holy and blameless because of what Jesus has done for us on the Cross (see: Col 1:22), Brethren meditate on this truth and walk in power, love, sound mind and self control.

Beloved, we are wearing Christ garments of righteousness, we need to be conscious of this to live a righteous and holy life.

Beloved, I want you to receive this Knowledge that in Christ Jesus you are made righteous before God, yes, the new man or the Born again is truly righteous and holy because Jesus has paid the price.(see: 1 Peter 2:24)

The scriptures says

Ephesians 4:24
"Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy."

Jesus washes away our sins and makes us whiter than snow.... the Bible says;

"If we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse from all unrighteousness" 1 John 1:9

No matter what you have done or doing, repent and come to Jesus and your sins shall be forgiven and you will receive a new life in Christ.

Come to Jesus and He will wash away your sins...
