Take deeper root on Christ

If the benefit of being a Christian is only about what we get in this world, then Christians are, of all men the most miserable.

1 Corinthians 15:19 NLT
And if our hope in Christ is only for this life, we are more to be pitied than anyone in the world.

There is a better hope awaiting us in the everlasting Kingdom of God when the Lord Jesus returns.

Matthew 25:34 KJV
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

As Christians, we need to understand that the kingdom we have been born into suffereth violence.

But in all, our Lord has assured us that the gates of hell shall not prevail.

God bless all the faithful saints in Christ and all the faithful pastors looking after the Church.

How can I resist evil desires?

James 3:13
Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

(Keep yourself busy with good deeds.)

Matthew 6:13
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

(Pray that good desires will overcome bad ones.)

2 Chronicles 34:33
And Josiah took away all the abominations out of all the countries that pertained to the children of Israel, and made all that were present in Israel to serve, even to serve the LORD their God. And all his days they departed not from following the LORD, the God of their fathers.

(Remove the source of temptation from your life as much as possible.)

Colossians 3:2
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

(Fill your mind with God and thoughts that honor him.)

Proverbs 15:22
Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.

(Find a person willing to help you. We all need people who will encourage us and hold us accountable. God gave us other believers to help us in our wall with Him.)
