BOW TO GOD'S WILL
When Jesus was here, He always stayed in the will of the Father; and He was the perfect man. Even pilate had to admit," i found no fault in this man ( Luke 23:4)
In the Garden of Gethsemane when Jesus was suffering such pain and agony from carrying our sicknesses, diseases and sins, He bowed to His Father's will. In human, Jesus said," Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me. But then He quickly went on to say," Nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done" (Luke 22:42).
Don't deceive yourself and tell the Lord that you want His will if you're not going to accept it, and don't ask Him for it if you're just going to grumble and complain about it. When you do that, you're in no shape to do God's will.
Jesus bowed to God's devine will, but then things got worse for Him instead of better.
During His trial, He was kept up all night going from one judgment to another. The Roman soldiers beat Him almost to death, gave Him a Cross to carry and sent Him on His way to Calvary; but He had only a human body that was no stronger than yours or mine, and He fell beneath the load of the Cross.
Somebody else had to carry the Cross for Him the rest of the way.
" And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a syrenian, coming out of the country, and on him the laid the Cross, that he might bear it after Jesus.(" luke 23:26")
Jesus followed behind as the soldiers continued to whip and beat Him the whole way.
Many people think that Jesus was only beaten at the whipping post, but that's not so.
The devil saw to it that He was beaten and spit upon all the way to Golgotha.
Even when He was on the Cross and already in such agony, the soldiers continued to mock Him saying," if thou be the king of Jews, save thyself (Luke 23:37).
Jesus knew that His death would give all mankind a chance at eternal life in Heaven. When He was here, He said," And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. This he said, signifying what death he should die" ( John 12:32,33.
Today, when we lift up Jesus as Savior, Lord and Master,He will draw people to us. He will also draw us to Himself daily in prayers, consecrations and at different times in fastings. We will be drawn to do the whole will of God, whatever it may be.
