𝗧𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰: Understanding How to Walk in Honour (Part 2)
𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀: Proverbs 3:35

One of the promises of God’s presence is strength. Divine direction is strength, encouragement releases strength, and a genuine encounter with God can renew our passion for His presence. Strength is a deposit from God that enables us to continue where help is needed and ensures that we do not remain the same.

True honour begins with the fear of God. If we genuinely honour God, we will not have a problem honouring people. Honour is a kingdom culture, not a strategy for gaining access or receiving benefits. When honour is used strategically, it becomes scheming and deception. Genuine honour must produce visible expressions through our attitudes, words, and actions.

Honour also requires humility. If we truly honour others, we will not constantly compare ourselves with them or look down on them. Dishonour begins in the heart before it appears outwardly, so negative thoughts must be dealt with before they become attitudes and actions.

Everyone deserves honour because every person is created in God’s image. However, some deserve greater honour because of their God-given assignments, including parents, employers, spouses, and older people.

Finally, dishonour is never justifiable. We may disagree or become offended, but we must preserve our hearts from dishonour. David had many reasons to dishonour Saul, yet he continued to recognize him as God’s anointed. Honour is ultimately a decision to protect our hearts and remain aligned with God.

𝗧𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰: Walking in Honour (Part 1)
𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗽𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀: 1 Chronicles 29:12; 1 Samuel 2:30; 1 Timothy 1:17

Honour is a kingdom principle that begins with God. Scripture teaches that riches, greatness, and honour come from Him, and He promises to honour those who honour Him. God's mercy is not a license for unrighteousness but an empowerment to live a life of reverence, obedience, and respect.

Honour is intentional attention and reverential respect. It is not based on emotions or convenience but on a heart that values God and His ways. True honour goes beyond outward actions or religious tradition; it is expressed through genuine love for God and obedience to His Word.

The message highlights nine pillars of honour: honour for God, His Word, His promises, His instructions, His presence, His house, His servants, His people, and the laws God has established. A believer who honours God treasures His Word, trusts His promises even in difficult seasons, obeys His instructions without compromise, and remembers that the Holy Spirit dwells within them. Honour also extends to respecting God's house, His servants, fellow believers, and authority in society and family.

Ultimately, honour is a lifestyle that reflects a heart devoted to God. Those who intentionally honour Him position themselves to experience His favour, promotion, and lasting glory.

Honour is the fruit of living wisely, and the wise are those who consistently put God first in every area of life. This goes beyond beginning the day with prayer; it means living with the fear of God, trusting Him above our fears, emotions, and personal reasoning. Prayer is first a means of building relationship with God, making the attitude of our hearts more important than the routine itself.

A life of honour is reflected through integrity, faithfulness to responsibilities, truthfulness, self-discipline under the leading of the Holy Spirit, generosity, love, and respect for leadership and authority. In a culture that often mistakes arrogance for confidence and disrespect for freedom, believers are called to uphold God's standards.

The highest expression of honour is honouring God through valuing His presence, obeying His instructions, believing His promises, and respecting His servants. Honour reflects Kingdom culture, reveals a vision that looks beyond the present, and demonstrates godly training.

Honouring people means recognizing God's image and value in them, regardless of personal feelings or social status. True honour follows God's order rather than human emotions. Honour is also a seed—what we honour grows in our lives, while dishonour closes both spiritual and natural doors of opportunity and favour.
