Dear Parish, the whole Church is reeling from the shock of the death of the Pope on Easter Monday. But as we come to terms with this news, I now warmly invite you to join us this evening, _Friday 25 April_ at *6 pm*, for a *Mass of Suffrage* [Mass of Intercession] for the soul of our deceased Pope Francis. Pope Francis will be buried tomorrow morning (Saturday 26), and so it seems fitting to remermber him, and pray for him, on this eve of his funeral. It is the regular Friday evening Mass, but focused on the life and death of Pope Francis. Do come and join us!

Dear Parishioners, there is an excellent opportunity for Confession/Reconciliation this afternoon and this evening. Two priests will hear Confessions from 17h00, with a third joining them after evening Mass at 18h30 until 19h30 or even 20h00.

Andrina de Gouveia (Chair of the Catholic NPO The Foundation for the Person and Family) will speak to us on: Saint John Paul II’s Five Loves This Lent.
Her talk will provide insight into the life of this great modern Saint – who was Pope for 27 years, patron of youth, of World Youth Days, of families – and will allow us to reflect on how we can put these loves to practical use during our Lenten journey, leading up to Holy Week and Easter.

Dear Parishioners,

On Sunday 26 May 2024, our Parish will celebrate the solemnity of Our Lady of the Wayside and the anniversary of the blessing of our church’s foundation stone. There will be only one Holy Mass on this day at 9:00, followed by a procession with the image of Our Lady in the streets around our parish.

All parishioners are invited to take part in this celebration. Refreshments will be served after the procession.
