WHY WE MUST LEARN CHRIST AND LEARN OF (FROM) CHRIST
In theology, there is a couse called, Christology. It is the study of Christ in His entirety as documented in the Bible and as given to us by divine revelation from His Holy Spirit.
The life we have been called to live as believers in Christ and disciples of Christ is the life of God, epitomized by Christ Himself, and demonstrated to us accordingly.
When we fail to know Who Christ is and to learn of/from Him, we will be bereft of His righteousness. We will have no spiritual or moral standing with God. Our minds will be darkened and incapable of discerning His will. We will be totally alienated from His life and covenant.
Worse of all, we will be back where we started: slaves of the devil, totally helpless and unable to deliver ourselves from the power and bo***ge of sin, death and eternal damnation.
We must know Christ in every ramification of His personality. We must obey His Word without questioning, and also administer to our lives His truths and walk in His ways wholeheartedly.
We cannot afford to be in Him and live like who or what He is not. For by our fruits, men will know us! Our lives are either epistles of life or death.
