Thinking about David in the Bible.

How would you feel about the prophet coming to your town asking your dad to line up all the and you not included in the line up? Talk about father wounds…Talk about spirit of rejection. I’m not certain why David wasn’t lined up with his brothers. But could it be that David was born out of wedlock? Could David have been the illegitimate one that was the embarrassment of the family ?

Why wasn’t David lined up with the other brothers?

The Lord makes a point in 1 Samuel that the ones you may see as disqualified or marked by stains from their past are the ones that he uses. Instead of David letting life circumstances make him bitter, he turns it into victory through worship & God cultivates something in his heart.
