Why is Satan always after the children of God or the people on Earth and why does he leave all these other creatures just to torment human beings.

Genesis 1:27-28 NLT
[27] So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. [28] Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.”

The reason why Satan is after the children of God is because he was an Angel that was close to the throne of God but instead of God promoting him, God created man in His image and He made them superior to every other being including Satan himself. He is jealous of the power that humans have over him and that human beings are not just mere creatures but they are like God himself. But we as children of God are given dominion over every creation on earth including dominion over Satan.

So as a believer inorder for you to grow you need to be intimate with God (intimacy is a sense of closeness and familiarity). You have to familiarise yourself with God. If you want to be religious become a Christian, but if you want to become spiritual then you must be like Christ. Intimacy with God unlocks fear for him and it unlocks revelation. Intimacy is not displayed in public but it's displayed in private.

Matthew 6:6 NLT
[6] But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.

Examine your life and identify areas that do not reflect the character of Christ. Spend time with Jesus in prayer and His Word, allowing Him to transform you from the inside out.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I desire more than religion; I desire a true encounter with You. Transform my heart and let my life reflect the nature and character of Jesus, in Jesus' Name, Amen.
