Fear God

Mat 10:28 "And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."

Be driven by the fear of God and not of man. If you fear God, your actions will be right. When you fear man, you will only do what is right when men are around and when men aren’t around, you do all the wrong things. No believer should be led by the fear of man but fear of God. Actually when you fear God you are likely going to do what is good for God and good for man.

Colossian 3:22-23"Servants, obey in all things those who are your masters according to the flesh, not just when they are looking, as men pleasers, but in singleness of heart, FEARING THE LORD. And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men.

When you fear God, man cannot do you by harm. Even what man thinks is for your harm, will produce good in you. Psalm 56:11 "I have put my trust in God. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?"

Confession
The fear of the Lord is on me and I am led to do what is right in life. I have put my trust in God. I will not be afraid of anything. What can man do to me? In Jesus name.

*YOU ARE THE SALT & LIGHT* (Ndinu Mchere ndi Kuwunika)

*MORNING DEVOTION*

15 December 2020

One day Jesus preached to his disciples to say they are the Salt and the Light of the earth.

(“You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.
Matthew 5:13 NLT)

This word is for you and me today. Jesus is preaching to us this time that we are the Salt and the light.

Every one knows how important is the salt to human being. We all need salt for food consumption. Those don't need salt in their food, you would believe me that they have been advised by their Doctors due to a certain problem in their bodies.

If you are to be a good Christian turn to be the salt. That salt which will bring good tasty 😋.

That salt which will bring love among congratulations. That salt which will bring unity in your community.

The bible says if the salt doesn't bring tasty then why should we keep it? It's good to throw it away.

Today God doesn't want you to be useless in your church and community. Bring to people what is good, which we can always say "Love".

Turn to be the light today. That light which will shine your family, church and community.

Where ever light is, there is no darkness. Meaning that if you are indeed light in family there will be no fighting, no fornication/cheating, no pride and no cowardness. Always people see you shining.

When a problem comes into your family, church and community you face it together and sort it out together.

*Conclusion*
For us indeed to be salt and light we should do what the bible tells us on *Philippians 2:2-4*

(Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.

Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.
Philippians 2:2‭-‬4)

Thank you Jesus for this wonderful morning.
Thank you for the today's word. Expand it into our hearts so that we always do like you Jesus.

We are the Salt and light indeed according to your preaching on mountainside, Today we humbly ask you to make us tasty and to be bright light where ever we are.

Fight and stand by us for any bad situation that we may face today.

In the book of Titus Paul sent a letter to the believers, which is you and me today!

This letter is from Paul, a slave of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ. I have been sent to proclaim faith to those God has chosen and to teach them to know the truth that shows them how to live godly lives.
*Titus 1:1*

You can understand the introduction of this letter talks about godly life.

As Christians we need to live by God's example.
We are not here to hate but to love, we are not chosen to pride but to humble ourselves to God and even to the world, setting an example to our church.

(A church leader is a manager of God’s household, so he must live a blameless life. He must not be arrogant or quick-tempered; he must not be a heavy drinker, violent, or dishonest with money.
Titus 1:7 NLT)

The other sin that will make believers miss heaven is your own self interest. As good children of God, we need to think about others.

(Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.
Philippians 2:3‭-‬4 NLT)

Lets wish our friends the best just as we need the best too.

The position we want at work the same position wish to others too. By doing so you will drive out jelous within you.

Jelous comes when you don't wish others the best. When those you don't wish the best doing better your heart itches.

Be like your king Jesus Christ. He wishes the best to everyone without counting our sins.

(You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.

Jesus is ready to save you from any problem you may be passing through for so long time.

What you need to do is to call upon his name.

Do not doubt just kneel down and pray right now, with a humble heart and he is ready to save you.

May God save you as you pray!!
