There is great joy in serving the Lord in places where the Church of Christ is not yet known. In many communities, there are people ready to hear the gospel and become part of Christ’s church. Yet too often, our efforts focus only on maintaining existing congregations while vast areas remain unreached.
The harvest is still plentiful. When we step into places where the church does not exist, we discover people searching for hope, truth, and a spiritual home. The mission is possible. What is needed is the faith to go, the vision to see opportunities where others see obstacles, and the commitment to plant seeds for future generations.
May we never forget that the Lord’s church grew because disciples were willing to take the gospel where it had never been heard before.
At the same time, many established congregations face real challenges—limited resources, aging memberships, leadership shortages, and financial constraints. These challenges can make outreach seem difficult. Yet history shows that some of the greatest growth comes when believers look beyond preserving what already exists and invest in reaching new communities.
