Good morning, here is today’s prayer….

Father God, I read these words in Psalm 18 – ‘I love you, O Lord, my strength.
The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,
my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge,
my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Lord, as Your Holy Spirit takes control in my life, these words become my words.
The Holy Spirit makes me to love You more, the Holy Spirit strengthens my trust in You as I realize more and more how merciful You have been to deliver me from my sin.
The Holy Spirit strengthen my faith in You so that my life may be schooled according to Your prefect will.

I confess that – ‘The Lord lives, and blessed be my rock, and exalted be the God of my salvation’ – Psalm 118:46

‘For this I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations, and sing to your name.’ – Psalm 118:49

In the Holy name of Jesus, I pray
Amen

Good morning, here is today's prayer....
Dear Lord God,
Thank You for Your mercies and compassions that are new every morning...
Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not.
They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22-23

Thank You for opening Your arms and welcoming me to come to You, to find rest in You, to find freedom in You, to have abundant life in You.

I cry out to You now for those who are heavy on my heart, for those who are going through the fire and those who are going through the valleys; for those who face difficulties and those who have come through trials and are triumphant because of You.
The Lord upholds all who fall,
And raises up all who are bowed down.
Psalm 145:14

I bow down to You and I pray for Your grace and mercy, You peace and love, Your hand upon each of their lives.
I pray for Your miracles and mercies to come to them, even now.
I pray that all who are weary will cry out to You and trust in You.
And I thank You for all that You have done and all that You will do.

May Your works and miracles in our lives be a witness to all others that You are God and that You love each person and that You will rescue those who cry out to You...
Then they cry out to the LORD in their trouble,
And He brings them out of their distresses.
Psalms 107:28

May You be glorified and may every person come to know You as their God.
In the beautiful name of Jesus I pray,
Amen.

Good morning, here is today's prayer....

Holy Father, so often I hear people say, how do I even know that it is God who is speaking to me or they say, I never hear God speak to me.

Father, I thank You for Your written word. Every time I want to hear You, I open Your word and You speak to me.

Your servant Paul encouraged the young Timothy and pointed him to Scripture, saying…. ‘and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.’ – 2 Timothy 3:15-17

Father God, I thank You for Your Holy Spirit who use Your Holy Scriptures to teach, rebuke, correct and train me in Your righteousness. Lord, I thank You that I can trust every word in the Holy Scripture as it is God-breathed – inspired and given to men by You and protected by You.

Lord, we are blessed people indeed. At any time I want, I can go to Your written word and hear You speak. When I am down, Your written word uplift me, when I need guidance, Your written word is full of wisdom and when I feel lonely, Your written word reveals Your love for me.

Father, thank You for speaking to me.

In the precious name of Jesus, I pray
Amen

Good morning, here is today's prayer....

Father, as we have entered the cold season, I pray for all who are suffering from flue or any other ailment.

Lord, it is at times like this that we are reminded how frail we are and how depended we are on Your life sustaining power. Father, I pray that as even the healthiest among us are affected by seasonal illnesses, that we will acknowledge that You and You alone have power over us.

Lord, You are the giver of life and at any time, You can decide to stop giving that live and when You do it will cease to exist.

Lord Jesus, You remind us that…. “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.” – John 11:4.
Lord, from this we know that even if we die from any of the many sickness that our bodies could succumb too, that we will not die the second death as You had already conquered the final enemy, death, with Your resurrection. (1 Corinthians 15:12-34)

Father, I pray for myself and my brothers and sisters in Christ, that we will heed the words of Your servant Peter, who wrote….. ‘Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you’ – 1 Peter 5:6-7

In the Holy name of Jesus, I pray
Amen

Good morning, here is today's prayer....

Lord God, Your servant, John wrote….. ‘This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.’ – 1 John 1:5-6

Father, we know light is the metaphor for Your presence, truth, and goodness, while darkness represents sin, evil, and separation from You.
Lord, I pray that the Holy Spirit will lead me so that I will have close fellowship with You and help me to live out Your truth. I pray that my words and my behaviour will glorify You always.

Father, Your prophet Isaiah warned Your people against the darkness of the world, that same darkness we also see around us every day. Lord, he spoke Your words and said… ‘Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.’ – Isaiah 5:20

I pray that the Holy Spirit will strengthen me so that I may be able to resist the temptations that lures me to the darkness. Lord, keep me in Your truth, I pray. Fill me with the wisdom of the Holy Spirit so to prevent me from calling evil good and good evil, from putting darkness for light and light for darkness and from putting bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.

Father God, I pray for myself and for my brothers and sisters in Christ, that we will always ‘walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and (that) the blood of Jesus, (Your) Son, purifies us from all sin.’ 1 John1:7

In the Holy name of Jesus, I pray
Amen

Good morning, here is today's prayer....
Father God, sometimes I feel that my prayers are not heard. It feel that I pray but my prayers are never answered.

But Lord, when I feel this way, the Holy Spirit reminds me of the parable of the persistent widow. And in it, Lord Jesus, You said…. ‘And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?’ – Luke 18:7

Lord, when I ponder on this parable about prayer and justice, Revelation chapter 6 comes to mind where John saw…. ‘under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. They called out in a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?”’ – Revelation 6:9-10. How long Lord, for justice to prevail? How long will this unjust world continue to mock, despise and openly reject You, holy Father?

Father God, in the book of Revelation I am reminder that our prayers are like the sweet aroma from the incense altar to Your nostrils. I am reminded that my prayers are heard and that at Your own time, at the perfect time that You have set, my prayers will be answered.

Lord, I thank You that all injustice will be dealt with and will disappear on the day of the second coming of Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

Lord, I pray and ask that my prayers and the prayers of my brothers and sisters in Christ will be answered at Your appointed time.

So, Father, my prayer today is that we will persist in our prayers, like the widow persisted in her pleas. Father, I pray that we will grow in faith and that we will trust that all Your perfect plans for us will workout in the end for Your purpose.

Father, I pray that the answer to the question asked in Luke 18:8…. ‘when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?’…. will be a resounding yes!

Lord I pray that the Holy Spirit will use our time on earth to prepare us for that day by strengthening our faith and by leading us to a meaningful prayer life that will bring us to a place where we completely trust in You, Your will and in Your purpose for all of us.

In the Holy name of Jesus, I pray
Amen

Good morning, here is today's prayer....

Lord Jesus, You told the Pharisees…. ‘go and learn what this means: “I desire mercy, not sacrifice.” For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.’ – Matthew 9:13

Father God, our works, our sacrifices of money and our time, all we do in the name of Christianity, is worthless in Your sight if we cannot show mercy. Lord, when we are merciful it shows the condition of our hearts, the heart You require.

Father, I pray that the Holy Spirit will work in our hearts and make us merciful towards others. Lord God, may we show mercy to those who are weary, those who are broken, those whose lives are shattered by sin, to those who our human nature tells us to avoid and even look down on.

Father, may we not be religious snobs and look down on sinful people. May we show them mercy like our Lord Jesus Christ showed mercy when He called Matthew, the sinful tax collector and when He had dinner in Matthew’s house with many sinners.

Father, we are dead in our sin if You do not show us mercy. Lord Jesus, You said…. ‘Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.’ – Matthew 5:7

Grant us merciful hearts, so that we may receive mercy ourselves, I pray.

In the Holy name of Jesus, I pray
Amen

Good morning, here is today's prayer....
Father God, your servant Jude wrote…. ‘But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.’ – Jude 1:20-21

Father, we eagerly await the day of our Lord’s return. We wait faithfully for eternal life that will be spend in Your holy presence. Lord, we wait with great anticipation for the reward Jesus earned for us on the cross.

Lord as we wait, we thank You that the Holy Spirit is with us. Lord, we thank You that we can pray in the Holy Spirit and are kept in Your love.

Lord God, we pray that we will be obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit as Your servant Paul teach…. ‘In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.’ Romans 8:26-28

Lord, I pray that we will…. ‘be merciful to those who doubt; save others by snatching them from the fire; to others show mercy, mixed with fear – hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.’ – Jude 1:22-23

In the Holy name of Jesus, I pray
Amen

Good morning, here is today's prayer....
Father God, as I ponder the words of Your servant Jude who wrote….. “These people are blemishes at your love feasts, eating with you without the slightest qualm – shepherds who feed only themselves. They are clouds without rain, blown along by the wind; autumn trees, without fruit and uprooted – twice dead.” (1:12), I cannot help but to think of the Church of Christ that is under constant attack from the w**d from within (Matthew 13:24-30).

Father, Jude wrote this about them…. ‘For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a licence for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.’ – Jude 1:4

Lord, we know them from their fruits, from their behaviour, as Jude explained how they follow their own ungodly desires, giving themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They are grumblers and fault-finders; they follow their own evil desires; they boast about themselves and flatter others for their own advantage. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire. (Jude 1:7-10)

Lord Jesus, in the parables of the w**ds, You tell us that they will be among us until Your second coming. (Matthew 13:36-43)

Lord, I hear the words of Paul to the church in Rome when he wrote….. ‘I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naïve people.’ – Romans 16:17-18

Lord God, we pray so often for the protection of the Church, we pray for the people in the Church, as we should, but today I want to pray that You will strengthen Your people by the Holy Spirit, in wisdom and in knowledge of Scripture, so that we can know when we are deceived by the w**ds and not been deceived.

Lord Jesus, we look forward to Your return, when the w**ds will be destroyed in the fire and,…. ‘Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father.’ – Matthew 13:43

In the Holy name of Jesus, I pray
Amen

Good morning, here is today's prayer....

Dear Father God, as people who live in a world that seem to offer us so much, we are constantly chasing after these things. Your Son, Jesus Christ, said…. “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.” – Matthew 13:44

Lord, I pray this morning for all who are searching for tressure and wealth. For all who are searching for gratification and never find it, no matter how much tressure they have in this world. Lord, I pray for those who chase after the empty promises of this world. I pray that they will be filled with true joy that can only be found in the kingdom of heaven. A joy so great that those who are invited into, will gladly give up all earthly treasures to have it.

Lord Jesus, You said…. “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.” – Matthew 13:45-46

Father God, I pray for those who, like the rich young ruler, allow their worldly treasures to rule over them and to stand between them and a true relationship with You. Lord, as the kingdom of heaven is on offer to them, may they respond like this merchant in this parable, may they give up everything that hinders them from finding the real source of joy.

Lord, I thank You for the joy we have in the kingdom of heaven and for the joy I feel in my heart this morning.

In the Holy name of Jesus, I pray
Amen
