55 OLD TESTAMENT PROPHECIES ABOUT JESUS.

There are 55 Old Testament prophecies about Jesus Christ that are fulfilled by Him coming to the world and enduring the crucifixion on the cross. The prophecies are put together to cover four specific areas.
1. Jesus's birth
2. Jesus's ministry
3. Jesus's death and resurrection
4. Jesus’s role in the church
The prophecies are ordered based on the Old Testament book order. For each one a verse showing its fulfilment in the New Testament is included.
The aim of highlighting these prophecies is to increase our Faith in knowing that our God is in control and has planned all these things and has successfully fulfilled all His plans and promises.

Good Morning Chosen Vessels of God,

From my desk 📖✍️📖✍️ to you before sharing the Word of God.

_JUST TO ENCOURAGE YOU_

*RIGHTS IN CHURCH*

_“Consider Him who endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself lest you also grow weary and lose heart,” (Hebrews 12:3)._

*_Supporting Scriptures : Matthew 27:27-44, Matthew 26:53, Hebrews 12:3, 1 Corinthians 6:7, Psalm 103:14_*

*_“Why not rather be wronged?”_*
*_(1 Cor. 6:7)_*

Ask any Pastor.

We hear it all the time. Variations on this theme are endless…

Members they say :
_“All these years we have belonged to this church and given our money to support these preachers, and now when we need him, he’s in Israel on a holy land tour!”_

_“I went by the church. I needed to see the Preacher then, not the next day. And you’re not going to believe this, but he was on his way out the door, headed to his son’s game! And me a member of his flock. What kind of Preachers are we getting these days?”_

_“The Preacher needs to apologize to me for what he implied in that sermon on Sunday. I know he was talking about me, even though he used someone else’s name.”_

_“I called the church office and told them my dad/mom was dying. Now, I’m not a member of the church but my parents are. They deserve better treatment than what they received.” (And what treatment did they receive?) “The Pastor sent his deacon, and the deacon said something about him having to teach a Bible study then and he would be by later.” (Did he come later?) “He came two hours later.” (And did your dad/mom die?) “Well, not then. He/She died a few weeks later, but I was angry. When I call for the Pastor to come, I expect him to come.” (But you’re not even a member. You don’t even live here, and you had never met the Pastor. Yet, you are angry?) “You bet I’m angry. I have a *right* to expect the Pastor to earn his pay.”_

The stories every Pastor could tell. But won’t, for obvious reasons.

Sad to say, the Pastors also insist on their *rights* .

_Look at what they’re paying me. I’ve not had a raise in 3 years._

_I deserve better treatment than this. (Think of Moses in the wilderness. How many times did He bellyache to the Lord for calling him to lead this bunch of disorganized, self-centered, shallow ex-slaves to some place where they’d never been but had only heard of)_

_“Lord, I’ve done nothing but love them and serve them. And this is the thanks I get!” (And indeed, that’s often the case._

_Even the best and the purest become targets of the Herods and the Pharisees, the mobs and the tyrants.)_

_To Pastors and their families, we say: “Try to hang in there. Your reward is just ahead, and you will be so glad you were faithful.” Do that, Jesus said, and “I will give thee a crown of life.”_

*Consider Jesus.*
_“Consider Him who endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself lest you also grow weary and lose heart” (Hebrews 12:3)._

If He had insisted on His *rights* what He deserved and had every right to expect and ask and even demand a lot of things would be different…

He would have called ten thousand angels and put a stop to that Jerusalem foolishness. *Matthew 26:53).*

He would never have gone to the cross for you and me. He would not have endured the taunting and spittal and blasphemy. *(Matthew 27:27-44)* He would have made short work of them all.

And He would never ever have loved such a one as you or me. He Himself knows our frame *(Psalm 103:14)* and thus He would have written earth off as a bad experiment and gone on to Planet X.
_“But He died alone…for you and me.”_

When you and I insist on our *rights*…
We are showing ourselves carnal.
We may as well hang a sign around our neck saying, _“I’m a spiritual baby.”_

*We are shaming the Savior*

We become part of the problem for the Lord’s church instead of part of its answer.

We hold the gospel up to ridicule before the world. *“Look at that bunch. They’re just like the rest of us.”*

We show the Lord’s teachings mean absolutely nothing to us.
He said, _“Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who mistreat you. And whoever hits you on the one cheek, offer him the other also.”_
And He went further than that. _“Whoever takes away your coat, don’t withhold your shirt either. Give to everyone who asks of you. And whoever takes away what is yours, do not demand it back.”_
(And on and on He went, saying those things that befuzzle the carnal mind and demonstrate something far superior is going on with these who are His redeemed. *Luke 6:27-38* )

*Jesus is always the final word on any subject. He has the final word; He is the final word.*

For you have been called to this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps.

_Who committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in His mouth._
_And while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threat, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously. For He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed. For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls. (I Peter 2:21-25)_

Now, live like it.

Blessed Sunday Service to you and your Congregations and don't allow carnal mind to control and lead you. I do from my heart celebrate you always 🙏🙏🙏🙏

The Origins of Passover v/s Easter
Passover is a day that God Almighty declared and chosen for His people as the day He will free them from their suffering (Exodus 12: 1-20). He instructed His people who are called by His name to observe every year from generation to generation. This was the day when the Israelites slaughtered a lamb without any defect (V.5) and took some of the blood and smeared it on the sides and top of the doorframes of the houses where they ate the animal (V.7). God instructed the Israelites to observe and celebrate this day as a special festival for 7 days. The celebration is referred to as the Festival of Unleavened Bread. For 7 days the Jewish nation still do not eat bread with yeast during this festival.
God’s purpose for this day was the day He will save His people and give them freedom in a land of plenty.
Each family slaughtered a lamb without defect as a sacrifice to God, earning each family forgiveness and freedom from suffering. A thousand and five hundred years later God repeated the event. This time the sacrifice was bigger and more significant. God sacrificed His only Son for all people of the world. On the first day of the festival when the lamb was slaughtered, Jesus became the lamb that was slaughtered for all. His death on the cross was the price paid for our freedom.
When Jesus declared that it is finished,
- He meant everything is complete and in place.
- Freedom is made available
- Direct access to God is laid.
- Freedom from slavery, suffering and pain.
- Saved from death by sin.
- Healing from disease and plagues.
Christians and Jews (Judaism) still today celebrate Passover and The Festival of Unleavened Bread. Christians observe and commemorate the first 3 days of the death and resurrection of Christ. The Jewish Faith still celebrate the whole festival according to the Hebrew Calendar as declared by God. It is the celebration of a new beginning, new life, and all things of the past forgotten.

What is Easter?
Easter Weekend is a festival and holiday celebrated by millions of people around the world who honour the crucifixion and death of Jesus at Calvary and resurrection from the dead after 3 days as described in the New Testament. It is also the day that children excitedly wait for the Easter bunny to arrive and deliver their treats of chocolate eggs. *Easter is a ‘movable feast’ which is chosen to correspond with the first Sunday following the full moon after the March equinox and occurs on different dates around the world since western churches use the Gregorian calendar, while eastern churches use the Julian calendar.*
So where did this ‘movable feast’ begin, and what are the origins of the traditions and customs celebrated on this important day around the world?
Christians today celebrate Easter weekend as the death and resurrection of Jesus. Most historians, including Biblical scholars, agree that Easter was originally a pagan festival. According to the New Unger’s Bible Dictionary says: “The word Easter is of Saxon origin, Eastra, the goddess of spring, in whose honour sacrifices were offered about Passover time each year. By the eighth century Anglo–Saxons had adopted the name to designate the celebration of Christ’s resurrection.” However, even among those who maintain that Easter has pagan roots, there is some disagreement over which pagan tradition the festival emerged from.
A related perspective is that, rather than being a representation of the story of Ishtar, Easter was originally a celebration of Eostre, goddess of Spring, otherwise known as Ostara, Austra, and Eastre. One of the most revered aspects of Ostara for both ancient and modern observers is a spirit of renewal.
Celebrated at Spring Equinox on March 21, Ostara marks the day when light is equal to darkness, and will continue to grow. As the bringer of light after a long dark winter, the goddess was often depicted with the hare, an animal that represents the arrival of spring as well as the fertility of the season.
According to Jacob Grimm’s Deutsche Mythologie, the idea of resurrection was ingrained within the celebration of Ostara: “Ostara, Eástre seems therefore to have been the divinity of the radiant dawn, of upspringing light, a spectacle that brings joy and blessing, whose meaning could be easily adapted by the resurrection-day of the christian’s God.”
Most analyses of the origin of the word ‘Easter’ maintain that it was named after a goddess mentioned by the 7th to 8th-century English monk Bede, who wrote that Ēosturmōnaþ (Old English 'Month of Ēostre', translated in Bede's time as "Paschal month") was an English month, corresponding to April, which he says "was once called after a goddess of theirs named Ēostre, in whose honour feasts were celebrated in that month".

The important take away here is that Easter is a men chosen and designed festival with its traditions of eggs and bunny(rabbit/hare) that came from people who do not believe in the one and only God Almighty who created Heaven and Earth. The God, Jehovah, El Shaddai who created men and sacrificed His only Son to redeem His people.
As Christians we must celebrate Passover which is the day that the Lord has declared for us.

*Definitions:*
• *Pagan* - _people in the Roman Empire who practiced polytheism, believing in many Gods_
• * Equinox* - _the time or date (twice each year) at which the sun crosses the celestial equator, when day and night are of approximately equal length (about 23 September and 21 March)_
