About Greater Works
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is not about Miracles.
Though Miracles happen when the Gospel of Christ is being Preached, but We don't Turn the Gospel of Jesus Christ into a Gentile Satisfying Venture.
Nowadays, We have People who's only reason for going to Church is to Get Miracles.
This has led some Preachers to get involved in Satanic spells just to Satisfy the lusts of their Gentile Congregation.
What did Jesus mean when He said
(John 14:12 KJV) Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Many People assume that John 14:12 is about Miracles.
The Word "Works" in Verse 12 is italicized, which means it wasn't in the Original Manuscript.
"Greater than These".
What can be Greater than raising the Death, Healing the Sick, Casting out demons??
The Greek Word for "Greater" is Megas which means 'something more stronger'.
Jesus said We will do Greater because He was going to Our Father.
(John 20:17 KJV) Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
After Christ Resurrected from the Hades, He had to go to God Our Father for Our Salvation.
Once His Sacrifice was Accepted by God Our Father, Christ Came back with something different.
Salvation.
For You to Understand the Greater Jesus Christ was talking about, You must understand the Mission Statement of Jesus Christ.
(Luke 24:7 KJV) Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.
Jesus Christ Told His Audience time without Number that He will be Crucified but He shall Rise on the Third Day for Our Salvation.
Without the Death of Jesus Christ, they wouldn't have Been Salvation.
So Salvation rested on His Resurrection.
When Christ was Talking about "Greater", He was talking about Salvation that will only Come after His Death and Resurrection.
(Matthew 1:21 KJV) And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Christ came for Salvation.
When Jesus said "Greater", He was talking about something that hasn't happened Yet.
That's Salvation.
Salvation came after He Resurrected from the Dead.
The Disciples had seen all kinds of Miracles before the Death of Christ.
In Matthew 10, Jesus Christ gave them power to Perform Miracles even though they were not Born Again.
The fact that a Man of God is Performing Miracles doesn't mean he/she is Born Again.
And if anyone is not Born Again, such a Person doesn't belong to God.
Greater is talking about Getting People Born Again and not performing Miracles.
(Mark 16:15 KJV) And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
This was after His Resurrection.
(Mark 16:16 KJV) He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
The Greater Work here is Salvation
