Mercy is not getting what we deserve. Mercy can only be given at the expense of justice. God can be merciful because justice was taken out on Jesus. Mercy is never cheap nor should it be taken for granted.

Like good morals cannot save a sinner, neither are good morals any indication we are ‘good’ Christians. A sign we are a ‘good’ Christian is the quality of our personal and intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. Don’t say I have good morals therefore I am right with God, but have no relationship - YOU ARE DECEIVED! We need a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
