Our students recently had the opportunity to help at the LIFE Community Services AGM in George, getting involved behind the scenes and being part of an evening celebrating the work being done in our community.

LIFE Community Services is doing incredible work alongside children, young people and families — creating opportunities, meeting practical needs and investing in the long-term wellbeing of our community.

For our students, opportunities like this are about more than volunteering for an event. They’re about learning to serve, connecting with the people around us and discovering the difference we can make when we choose to show up.

We’re grateful to have been part of the event and to learn more about the people behind the work happening through LIFE. 🌱

Because community isn’t just somewhere we live — it’s something we get to be part of.

Recently our Gap Year students had the privilege of visiting Work 4 A Living, an organisation dedicated to equipping unemployed individuals with the skills, confidence, and mindset needed to build a sustainable future.
Through practical training, mentorship, and personal development, they help people discover their value and take ownership of their lives.
As a Gap Year, we believe in serving communities while learning from those who are making a difference. Seeing lives transformed through dignity, hard work, and hope challenged us to think beyond ourselves and consider how we can use our own gifts to serve others.

From childhood challenges and unexpected detours to a life-changing encounter with Abba Father, Johann's journey is a testimony of God's faithfulness through every season.

Today, his heart is simple: to help young people encounter God early and walk confidently in their calling.
