Today, at the Chrism Mass, we witnessed a powerful expression of priestly unity and renewal as priests from across the Archdiocese recommitted themselves to their ministry, gathered around Archbishop Sithembele Sipuka.

On this sacred day, we also celebrate and give thanks for our priests, who faithfully serve God’s people through the sacraments, especially through the anointing with the holy oils blessed today.

We wish all our priests a blessed and joyful feast day. May you continue to be strengthened in your calling, anointed to serve with compassion, humility, and love.

“Fan into flame the gift of God that is within you.” (2 Timothy 1:6)

Parish Alive Summit 2026

On 21 February, PPC members gathered at Our Lady Help of Christians for our Parish Alive Summit under the theme “Forming Leaders for a Missionary Church.”

We are deeply grateful to Bishop Sylvester David for his inspiring address and for leading us in our opening liturgy, to Fr Chiedza for Benediction, and to Fr Zane Godwin for his leadership and summary of the day. Thank you to the Parish Alive Team for their excellent coordination and to every PPC member who participated so wholeheartedly in the group sharing.

With powerful keynote inputs from Tom Miles, we were challenged to move:
➡️ from maintenance to mission
➡️ from control to co-responsibility
➡️ from exhaustion to intentional formation
➡️ from preservation to multiplication

We were reminded that the Gospel has not changed — but our methods must. That baptism calls us not to manage programmes, but to live as a missionary family. That fruitfulness is not attendance alone, but transformed lives encountering Jesus.

The call is clear: stop leading to keep things safe, and start leading so that what God has entrusted to us bears fruit.

Let’s get in the game.
