Tshehlwaneng Christian Family Church

Tshehlwaneng Christian Family Church “Make disciples of all nations… teaching them to obey everything i commanded you” ( Matt 28:19-20) ( II Tim. 3:16, I Thess. 2:13, II Peter 1:21 ).

2.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

The program and activities governing the conduct of CHRISTIAN FAMILY CHURCH JOHANNESBURG are based upon, and at all times shall be consistent with, the following creed and beliefs:

1. THE SCRIPTURES:
The Bible is the inspired word of God, the product of Holy Men of old who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. The New Covenant as recorded in the New Testament,

we accept as our infallible guide in matters pertaining to conduct and doctrine. THE GODHEAD:
Our God is One, but manifested in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, being co-equal. God the Father is greater than all, the Source of the Word (Logos) and the Begetter

( John 14:28, John 16:28, John 1:14 ). The Son is the Word of flesh-covered, the One Begotten, and has existed with the Father from the beginning ( John 1:1, John 1:18, John 1:14 ). The Holy Spirit proceeds forth from both the Father and the Son and is eternal
( John 15:16 ).

3. MAN, HIS FALL AND REDEMPTION:
Man is a created being, made in the likeness and image of God, but through Adam's transgression and fall, sin came into the world. "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." "As it is written, there is none righteous, no not one." Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was manifested to undo the work of the devil, and gave His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God. ( Romans 5:12, Romans 3:23, Romans 3:10, John 1:1 ). Salvation is a gift from God to man, separate from the works and the law, and is made operative by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, producing works acceptable to God. ( Ephesians 2:18, ).

4. ETERNAL LIFE AND NEW BIRTH:
Man's first step toward salvation is Godly sorrow that worketh repentance. The new birth is necessary to all men, and, when fulfilled, produces eternal life. ( II Cor.7:10, I John 5:12,
John 3:3-5 ).

5. WATER BAPTISM:
Baptism in water is by immersion and is a direct commandment of our Lord, and is for believers only. The ordinance is a symbol of the Christian's identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. ( Matt. 28.19, Romans 6:4, Col. 2:12, Acts 8:36 -39 ). The following recommendation regarding the Water Baptismal formula is adopted, to wit: "On the confession of your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and by His authority, I baptize you in the name of the Father, Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen."

6. BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT:
The Baptism in the Holy Spirit and Fire is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers in this dispensation and is received subsequent to the new birth. This experience is accompanied by the initial evidence of the speaking
in other tongues as the Holy Spirit himself gives utterance. ( Matt. 3.11,John 14:16-17, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:38-39, Acts 19:1-7,
Acts 2:4 ).

7. SANCTIFICATION:
The Bible teaches that without Holiness no man can see the Lord. We believe in the doctrine of Sanctification as a definite yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation of Salvation. ( Heb.12:14,
I Thess. 5:23, II Peter 3:18. II Cor. 3:18. Phil. 3:12-14, 1 Cor. 1:30 ).

8. DIVINE HEALING:
Healing is for physical ills of the human body and is wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith, of the laying on of hands. It is provided for in Christ's redemption for us, and it is the privilege of every member of the church today. ( Mark 16-18, James 5:14-15,
I Peter 2:24, Matt. 8:17, Isa. 53:4-5 ).

9. RESURRECTION OF THE JUST AND THE RETURN OF
OUR LORD:
The angels said, "This same Jesus shall so come in like manner." His coming is imminent. When He comes, "The dead in Christ shall rise first; then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air." ( Acts1: 1-11, I Thess. 4:16-17 ).

10. HELL AND ETERNAL RETRIBUTION:
The one who physically dies in his sins without Christ is hopelessly and eternally lost in the lake of fire and, therefore, has no further opportunity of hearing the Gospel or for repentance. The lake of fire is literal. The terms "eternal" and "everlasting" used in describing the duration of the punishment of the damned in the lake of fire carry the same thought and meaning of endless existence as used in noting the duration of joy and ecstasy in the saints in the presence of God. ( Heb 9:27, Rev 19:20 ).

11. THE ORDINANCE OF THE LORD'S SUPPER:
The ordinance of the Lord's Supper shall be observed regularly as enjoined in the Scriptures ( Luke 22:19-20, I Cor. 11:23-26 ).

STATEMENT OF FAITH

1. We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, in their original writing, as fully inspired of God, and accept them as the supreme and final authority for faith and life.

2. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

3. We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten of the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man.

4. We believe that God created man in His own image; that man sinned and thereby incurred the penalty of sin, which is death physically and spiritually; that all human beings inherit a sinful nature which issued (in the case of those who reach moral responsibility) in actual transgression involving personal guilt.

5. With regard to sexual behavior, we believe in heterosexual relationships between a natural man and a natural woman within the confines of lawful matrimony. Adherence to this stated principle of sexual behavior is an inherent requirement of membership of CHRISTIAN FAMILY CHURCH.

6. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins as a substitutionary sacrifice according to the Scriptures and that all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood.

7. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus, His ascension into Heaven, and His present life as our High Priest and Advocate.

8. We believe in the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

9. We believe that all who repent of their sin and receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God.

10. We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit, empowering and equipping believers for service, with the accompanying supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit; and in fellowship with the Holy Spirit. We believe in the divinely ordained ministries of the Apostle, Prophet, Teacher, Pastor, and Evangelist.

11. With regard to submission to authority, we believe in the principle of being in authority because you are under authority. As such, it is understood that Christian Family Church membership shall be subject to submission to authority in matters pertaining to church governance, doctrine and personal behavior.

12. We believe in the resurrection of both the just and the unjust, the eternal blessedness of the redeemed, and the eternal banishment of those who have rejected the offer of salvation.

13. We believe that the one true Church is the whole company of those who have been redeemed by Jesus Christ and regenerated by the Holy Spirit; that the local church on earth should take its character from this concept of the Church spiritual and therefore that the new birth and personal confession of Christ are essentials of church membership.

14. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ appointed two ordinances: Baptism in water and the Lord's Supper, to be observed as acts of obedience and as perpetual witnesses to the cardinal facts of the Christian Faith, that Baptism is the immersion of the believer in water as a confession of identification with Christ in burial and resurrection, and that the Lord's Supper is the partaking of the emblems symbolic of the Savior's broken body and shed blood, in remembrance of His sacrificial death, until He comes.

15. We believe that divine healing was provided for in the Old and New Testaments, and is an integral part of the Gospel.

16. We believe that the Bible teaches that without holiness no man can see the Lord. We believe in the doctrine of sanctification as a definite, yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of the new birth and continuing until the consummation of salvation.

17. We believe in obeying the statement made by Jesus found in Matthew 28, verses 19-20, which is "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you, and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

18. The fellowship is open to any further truth which the Holy Spirit may illuminate from the Scriptures.

FAITH FOR TODAY
Dr Theo Wolmarans

When the disciples told Thomas that they had seen and spoken to Jesus after His death and resurrection, he said he would not believe that Jesus had risen unless he could see the nail prints in Jesus’ hands and put his hand into Jesus’ side where the sword pierced Him.

Many Christians are like that today.

If they feel good, they believe God heard their prayer. If they feel bad, they believe God did not hear their prayer.

THEY BELIEVE THEIR FEELINGS MORE THAN THEY BELIEVE GOD’S PROMISE.

CONFESS

True heart faith says, “I believe God’s Word no matter what my feelings tell me.”

- Amen -

We are praying for you every day, and we love you.

FAITH FOR TODAY
Dr Theo Wolmarans

Another simple definition of faith is - “JUST ACT LIKE THE BIBLE IS TRUE.”

In Luke 5 some men lowered their paralyzed friend through a hole in the roof, down to Jesus while He was teaching in a building full of people.

Luke 5:20, 24, 25 (NKJV)
20 When Jesus saw THEIR faith, HE said to him, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.”
24 …“I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.”
25 Immediately he rose up before them, took up what he had been lying on, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.

Whose faith healed this man?

Verse 20 says that THEIR faith healed him.

When the friends saw the building was full, they could have said, “It’s no use, at least we tried, let’s take him home.”

They were so convinced he would be healed that they climbed up onto the roof with the stretcher.

The man on the stretcher had faith, because when Jesus told him to get up, he could have said, “Sure Lord, as soon as you pray for me. My friends had to carry me here on this stretcher.”

But he just simply acted on the Word of Jesus and began to get up.

Instantly the power of God healed him.

CONFESS

“The moment I act like the Bible is true, and do what it said, I am walking in faith and the Father will immediately take charge.”
- Amen -

We are praying for you every day, and we love you.

The Lord is the strength of your life, of whom shall you be afraid?

Psalm 27:2 (NKJV)
When the wicked came against me, To eat up my flesh, My enemies and foes, They stumbled and fell.

Jesus longs to fight your battles for you.

1 Samuel 17:47 (NKJV)
Then all this assembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord’s, and He will give you into our hands.

Allow His strength to FILL your heart, your mind and your body.

Ephesians 6:10 (NKJV)
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

How do I do this?

CONFESSION

“I allow God’s power to strengthen me and fight for me, when I agree with His Word and confess it.
Lord Jesus, You are the strength of my life, and You are solving all my problems.
I have the wisdom of Christ to solve every problem I am dealing with (1 Corinthians 1:30).”
- Amen -

We are praying for you every day, and we love you.

“Acting like the Bible is true, is faith in action.”

Joshua 6:2
And the Lord said to Joshua, “SEE, I HAVE GIVEN JERICHO INTO YOUR HAND...”

That did not mean that the Israelites could go on vacation and wait for all the citizens of Jericho to leave town.

Even though God HAD GIVEN Jericho to them, they still had to conquer it with their faith.

God told them to march around the city once per day, and seven times on the seventh day.

Then God told the Israelites to shout with a great victory shout, praising God, because He had given them the city.

Anybody can shout after the walls have fallen down. It takes faith to praise God face-to-face with a problem you cannot solve.

So many people are waiting for something to happen, and then they will praise God. The truth is, dear friend, nothing is going to happen that way.

The Israelites praised God while the walls were still standing, because God said, “I have given you the city” and the walls fell down.

I like to encourage people to come to church and say, “Father, I’m going to praise you today, because you said that ‘I am healed’ in 1 Peter 2:24.”

I have seen so many walls of sickness fall down flat in the lives of people who have suffered for years, who could never get well, by simply doing that.

CONFESS

“I am determined to receive my miracle from God, with my own faith, by simply acting on the word.”

- Amen -

We are praying for you every day, and we love you.

Simple steps that open the door to the Father’s prosperity.

Step No 1 - PUT GOD FIRST
Jesus said we cannot serve God and money. We cannot serve two masters.

Luke 16:13 (NIV)
“No one can serve two masters... You cannot serve both God and money.”

Step No 2 - WALK IN YOUR COVENANT
Understand that every born-again believer in Christ is in Covenant with the Father. It’s up to the believer to make sure he walks in the covenant.

How? Simple.

The covenant requires total giving to each other, from both parties.

If I live only for myself and don’t care about the Lord’s requirements, then I have chosen to live outside of the blessing of the covenant.

CONFESS

“I will make sure that I fellowship with the Father every day.
I will attend church and worship the Father.
I will make sure that I support the Gospel with my tithes and offerings.”

Why would any father want to bless his child, if the child wants nothing to do with him?

- Amen -

We are praying for you every day, and we love you.

DAY 214

FAITH FOR TODAY
Dr Theo Wolmarans

During the next few days we will uproot, from the deep recesses of our minds, all thoughts of poverty-thinking and replace them with a knowing that the Heavenly Father deeply desires to prosper us in EVERY way.

It is the Father’s desire to bring blessing to us, and through us, to all those we can influence.

To accomplish this, it is essential for our faith to grow, through the teaching of the word of God.

This is the only way to defeat the many attacks from the enemy, that have come to rob us of our ability to trust the Father in time of financial need.

CONFESS

“From today I expect to prosper. I am determined to develop a mind that says, ‘Prosperity belongs to me’.

I know I can get there. I will break the spirit of poverty-thinking OFF from my mind.

There are no limitations in my life that the Father cannot fix (Joshua 1:8).”

We are praying for you every day, and we love you.

Apostle Theo & Dr Bev

DAY 213

FAITH FOR TODAY
Dr Theo Wolmarans

Everything you were as a person stopped (ceased) when you became a new creation.

As far as God is concerned you have no past history. All the old is gone.
2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV - You have just been born.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

You have been delivered (rescued) from the power of the kingdom of darkness and transferred into the kingdom of Christ, the Father’s Son.

And now you have your share in the inheritance that belongs to God’s holy people, and you live in the light of the Father’s Glory.

Colossians 1:12-13 (NKJV)
12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.
13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,

CONFESS

“Now I live in the joy and freedom of the Holy Spirit, in perfect fellowship with the Father.
I walk with the same confidence Jesus had when He walked the earth.
I have complete authority over Satan, demons and circumstances, in the Name of Jesus.”

We are praying for you every day, and we love you.

Apostle Theo & Dr Bev

DAY 212

FAITH FOR TODAY
Dr Theo Wolmarans

When Adam sinned, that gave Satan the opportunity of seizing control over mankind and all of God’s creation.

Christ left his throne in heaven and entered a human body in the womb of Mary, walked the earth as Jesus, died on the cross for our sin and went to hell for our punishment.

On the third day the Father declared that humanity was forgiven, and the Resurrection Life of the Holy Spirit entered the Spirit of Christ.

Before going to the tomb to put on His body, He conquered the forces of darkness. Jesus left them paralyzed and put US IN CHARGE.

CONFESS

“According to Ephesians 1:18-23,
18 may the eyes of my understanding be enlightened, that I might know what is the hope of the Father’s calling, the riches of the Glory of the Father’s inheritance for me,
19 and what is the exceeding greatness of the Father’s power available to me, because I believe in Christ – it is according to (equal to) the working of the Father’s mighty power,
20 which the Father worked in Christ when He raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at His right hand, in the heavenly places,
21 far above all principality and power, might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the age which is to come,
22 and the Father put all things under the authority of Christ, and He gave Christ this authority FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE CHURCH (FOR MY BENEFIT),
23 and the church is Christ’s Body, it is filled by Christ, who fills everything everywhere with His presence.”

“I am a member of Christ’s body, therefore all the forces of darkness are under my feet. And I am filled with Christ”.

“As I meditate on these truths, the joy of what Christ has done for me, will light a fire in my heart and cause me to rise above the circumstances of life.”

We are praying for you every day, and we love you.

Apostle Theo & Dr Bev

The Holy Spirit is the life and power of the New Covenant.

He not only ENABLES us to walk in the New Covenant but also to REPRESENT the New Covenant.

2 Corinthians 3: 5-6 (NLT)
5 It is not that we think we can do anything of lasting value by ourselves. Our ONLY POWER and SUCCESS come from God. 6 He is the one who has enabled us to REPRESENT His new covenant.

In other words - The Holy Spirit has empowered us to represent the NEW COVENANT - it’s POWER and INTEGRITY.

In other words, not only can we expect to see the Holy Spirit DISPLAY His miracles (like healing, financial provision, guidance, causing favour and blessing, changing circumstances, etc.) through our lives - which is all paid for in the covenant, sealed and ratified by the blood of Christ - BUT the Holy Spirit has also empowered us to represent the INTEGRITY of the New Covenant.

In other words, my good behaviour, achieved by the Holy Spirit working in me, will give the New Covenant a good name.

CONFESS

“In the New Covenant, God has guaranteed to meet my every need – the covenant is SEALED with the blood that came from the veins of God.

What can be more sacred than that. What more could the Father do to show me how much He loves me. And how valuable I am to Him.”

Ps Bev and I are praying for you every day, and we love you.
