The Ministry Of Reconciliation For Every Believer

And all things are of God, who has reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not imputing their trespasses to them; and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be you reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:18-20

The Gospel has been committed into our trust, if we don’t preach the gospel we therefore believe that creation is in trouble.

Man is important to God and being a zenith of his creation he is principal in his reconciliation program. Although he wants to reconcile everything bound in corruption back to himself, he will first have his dealings with men so that in turn men will also bring back the whole creation to him. Until the fulfillment of the these scriptures “now the kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our God and his Messiah “

The Story Behind HANUKKAH : The Festival Of Lights.

Hanukkah commemorates a historical event that took place in Jerusalem in the 2nd century BCE, when the Seleucid Greek empire was the ruling power. In 168 BCE, the king Antiochus IV Epiphanes outlawed the temple practice and defiled the Temple in the city by installing an altar to Zeus Olympios and sacrificing pigs.

A small army of Jews, known as the Maccabees, rebelled against this persecution. They regained control over the Temple, removed the symbols of Zeus and built a new altar so they could once again offer sacrifices.

THE MIRACLE THAT TOOK PLACE:

A miracle occurred at this time; there was only enough oil to keep the Temple’s menorah (Golden Candlestick), burning for one day. But the flame stayed alight for eight days, until a new supply of oil could be found - this became basis for the eight-day celebration of Hanukkah.

Although this is a lesser holiday unlike the seven most important appointed times that Elohim gave us, it is still important that Hanukkah reminds us that what we saw in the earthly sanctuary was indeed a pattern of the heavenly sanctuary, we see this by the light that kept burning even though naturally it was supposed to be quenched after a day. We saw how God Took care of his temple where no priest was there for service.
