The Coalfields Circuit 1106 , is dedicating its time in prayer for our 58 young people who will be Confirmed into Full Membership of The Methodist Church of Southern Africa. These Young people have taken a conscious decision to surrender their lives to Christ, so that they may deepen their faith in Christ, they have spent time learning basic tenants of our faith and Methodist beliefs, practices and ethos. They have been given tools to enhance their knowledge, love and service for God.

This coming Sunday at 8:30 am, our Circuit ministers will be leading this Confirmation Service of these young people. In the world that is brutal and evil, may God enfold them with love, protect them from all forces of evil.

This Coming Sunday of the 03rd November 2023, Our Circuit will be honoring the honoring, celebrating the life and ministry of the late Rev.V.V. Q. Tshangela. He once served our Circuit as a Superintendent Minister, he served the Circuit with selfless love, sacrifice and uttermost dedication. He had a passion for Church Administration , Christian Education, Mission Enabler , Church Planting and Property Development. Rev Tshangela contributed in ensuring that the concept of Cross cultural ministry and integration is embraced in the circuit, as it was during his ministry ,we saw pulpit exchange of ministers in circuit and joint collaboration of leadership and missional activities.

In honor of his Life and Ministry, the Circuit has Renamed one of the Church buildings,which was built during his term of ministry at Coalfields Circuit. This was affirmed and endorsed by CE 2019

Rev Tshangela has served the MCSA and Ecumenical fraternity, amongst his leadership contributions in MCSA , being the Principal of John Wesley College, Director of Education Ministry and Mission Unit, District Bishop Clakebury District, Served in different Standing Committees of MCSA, served as Superintendent Minister in different Circuits.

This Sunday , we will be paying special homage to this Son of the soil, as we will be rededicating and renaming one of our Church building, which has also been refurbished, extended, with a Class rooms for Children's ministry and kitchen added to existing church hall.

We are looking forward hosting the children and family of Rev and Mrs Tshangela, our District Bishop, former friends and colleagues of Bhele.

Below is an invitation text to all Men and boys who are 13 year and above , to a Father and Son Seminar, where we will be trained on some of the transformative approaches to Fatherhood, seminar to learn about best and acceptable practices of fatherhood in the modern age. We know and affirm we live in a society , where most children grew up without their father's, becuase of absent father's who refuse to take responsibility to be present and participate in the lives of their children. This absence of father's and neglect of responsibility of father's has created so much damage in our communities, we have boys who grew up with anger , resentment , some missing father figure guidance in their lives, as the Church we are an alternative community that seeks redress all incorrect imbalances and injustices of the society.

It is on that note our Circuit YMG has organised this time of learning , capacitation and fellowship, this is extended to all Men , boys who are 13 years and above in our congregations. This is one step towards building value driven families. I encourage fathers even those who are not worshiping with us to join us, even those men who have no biological children of their own, even those boys who grew up without their father's to join us.

This season can be stressful, lonely , tiring , we need so much encouragement and strength. All learners to wear school uniforms and have candles with them.

As we celebrate Children and Youth Month, this coming Sunday our Circuit Children and Youth Unit, will be meeting together at Thula Society to Worship and Fellowship together, also part of the service will be Public Reception into Full membership of our On Trial Members of Wesley Guild. We gift thanks to God,these young people made a conscious decision to surrender their lives to Christ, May they grow in their faith and be strengthen in fighting all forces of darkness and evil. We commit them to God in prayer.

Wesley Guild is the school of formation and development for those who want to take further step in their faith journey. Through the four C's for Christ they will be shaped and moulded to grow holistically, we wish them well.
