MAKE IT STICK:
3-6 Year Old

Key Bible Passage: John 9:1-17, 27-39, Jesus Heals a Man Born Blind

Memory Verse: “I called out to you for help. And you healed me.” Psalm 30:2b (NIrV)

Use these four common times in a preschooler’s day to reinforce this week’s lesson:

🚖Driving - On your next drive, talk about some of the amazing things that you have seen Jesus do in your life, in your family, in the world. Marvel at Jesus' power. Jesus is the Son of God and has the power to do anything.

⚽Playing - Grab your Children's Bible. Pick a favorite story of Jesus healing someone and read it together. Now act out the story with your kids. Remind your kids that Jesus has the power to heal because he is the Son of God.

🍴Eating - During the mealtime prayer, thank God for sending his Son, Jesus, to earth. Pray to know Jesus, and to be more like him every day.

🧸Snuggling - Snuggle up together and read the Memory Verse. Reassure your kids that we can come to Jesus with any problem we face. Jesus is God's Son – He can fix anything.

We started with a brand new Series in the 7-12 year old classes - JOURNEY TO MARS!!

In our first Journey, we Blasted Off by learning how God called Abram to leave everything behind - his family, his friends, his property - to go to an unknown destination. It was the first leg in a journey that lasted the rest of his life as Abram followed God.

🚖IN THE CAR:
Ask your child what they learned about this week on the drive home: God called Abram to leave everything behind - his family, his friends, his property - to go to an unknown destination. It was the first leg in a journey that lasted the rest of his
life as Abram followed God. Genesis 12:1-9, God Calls Abram

💕HANGING OUT:
Make this week’s lesson real:
What important calls have you had in your life? Do you remember getting the call when you were hired to your job? A marriage proposal? Another opportunity? Share those “calls” with the kids, and ask them what God is calling all of us to do.

🍴AT DINNER:
Here are some great discussion starters:
- Who was Abram?
- What did God call Abram to do?
- Why does God want us to follow him?

✨AT BEDTIME:
Quiz your child on this week’s memory verse:
“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” Psalm 119:105 (NIV)

MAKE IT STICK!
(7-12 Years)I

BOTTOM LINE:
Jesus wants to give us the Holy Spirit and eternal life.

OBJECTIVE:
Kids will learn that Jesus is preparing a place for us in Heaven, and that his Holy Spirit is with us on earth.

KEY PASSAGE:
John 14:1-4, Jesus Prepares a Place, John 14:26-27, The Holy Spirit

🚙IN THE CAR:
Ask your child what they learned about this week on the drive home:
Jesus spent a short time on earth after his resurrection before ascending into heaven to prepare our heavenly home. Kids will learn that Jesus is still with us on earth, through the Holy Spirit that he sent to us to live in all believers. John 14:1-4, Jesus Prepares a
Place, John 14:26-27, The Holy Spirit

🧩HANGING OUT:
Make this week’s lesson real:
Ask your kids what they think Heaven is like, and ask them how the Holy Spirit can be our compass, guiding us ever closer to Jesus.

🍴AT DINNER:
Here are some great discussion starters:
- Where is Jesus right now?
- Who is the Holy Spirit?
- How can we receive the Holy Spirit and eternal life?

🧸AT BEDTIME:
Quiz your child on this week’s memory verse:
“May you have power with all God’s people to understand Christ’s love. May you know how wide and long and high and deep it is.” Ephesians 3:18 (NIrV)

MAKE IT STICK:
(3-6 Years)

Key Bible Passage: John 6:16-21, Jesus Walks on Water

Memory Verse: “I called out to you for help. And you healed me.” Psalm 30:2b (NIrV)

🚘Driving - Crank up the worship music and sing out with all your gusto. Praise God with confidence and no fear. God has not given us a spirit of fear, so praise him with abandon.

🪁Playing - Fill up the tub or the wading pool. Using a toy boat and action figures, act out the story in John 6:16-21. Talk about what it would be like to be in such a scary storm, and what it would be like to see Jesus walk on the water. We don't need to be scared because Jesus is always with us.

🍇Eating - During the mealtime prayer, thank God for always being with you. Ask him to give you courage and confidence to trust and believe in him.

🌙Snuggling - Snuggle up together and read this week's Bible story. Pray to Jesus, thanking him for always being with you. Ask him to take away any fear that either of you may be feeling. Pray with confidence that Jesus will fix it.

MAKE THIS WEEKEND'S LESSON STICK:
3-6 YEAR OLDS

Key Bible Passage: John 5:1-9, The Healing at the Pool

Memory Verse: “I called out to you for help. And you healed me.” Psalm 30:2b (NIrV)

Use these four common times in a preschooler’s day to reinforce this week’s lesson:

🚖Driving - One day this week, take an unfamiliar route home. Challenge your kids to look for places and landmarks you wouldn't have seen if you had taken the usual way home. When you arrive home, remind your kids that God sometimes takes us places we didn't expect (or even want) to go. But in the end, he will take us where he wants us to be, if we let him.

⚽️Playing - Bring out the building blocks. Have a competition between your kids and their friends to see who can make the most “surprising” thing. You will serve as the judge of the competition. Have kids describe what makes their creations unique and surprising. Compliment all of the competitors on their unexpected creations. Tell them that God works in surprising and unexpected ways too, but everything God does is beautiful.

🍴Eating - Share stories around the dinner table about anything that happened that day which was unexpected. How did you expect things to happen, and what happened instead? Did things go better or worse than you had planned? Discuss how we think we know best, but God knows better than us. He will work things out for our greatest good. Remind kids “Jesus can fix things in ways I can't even think of.”

🐻Snuggling - Snuggle up together and read the Memory Verse. Talk about a time you thought you knew the best way to do something, but God acted unexpectedly. Can you see in hindsight how God's way worked out better than yours ever could? Pray to Jesus, thanking him for knowing more than you, and for fixing things in great ways that we could ever imagine.

MAKE THE LESSON STICK!
7-12 YEAR OLDS

🚖IN THE CAR:
Ask your child what they learned about this week on the drive home:
Because Jesus is God the Son, it’s hard to imagine he had to deal with the same things we have to deal with, like hunger, fear, and temptation. Kids will learn that Jesus experienced the same struggles we do, yet without sinning. Matthew 4:1-11, The Temptation, Matthew 26:36-46, Gethsemane, Hebrews 4:14-15, Without Sin

⚽️HANGING OUT:
Make this week’s lesson real:
Ask your kids what questions they have for Jesus. Did He struggle to get along with His siblings? Did He ever scrape His knee? What things would they like to know about Jesus’ human experiences?

🍴AT DINNER:
Here are some great discussion starters:
- What are some of the feelings and emotions Jesus had in the wilderness and the
garden?
- Do you think Jesus knows what it’s like to be happy? Sad? Scared?
- Why is it good to know that Jesus knows how we feel in every situation?

🛌AT BEDTIME:
Quiz your child on this week’s memory verse:
“May you have power with all God’s people to understand Christ’s love. May you know how wide and long and high and deep it is.” Ephesians 3:18 (NIrV)

PARENT TIME:
What you need to know:
Jesus became human not only to save us from our sins, but to experience everything it means to be human. We can go to God and find comfort in hard times because we know whatever struggles or emotions we have, Jesus had them too!

Chill Week 4
MAKE IT STICK
(7-12 Years)

🚖IN THE CAR:
On the drive home, ask your children what they learned about this week:

Just like a snowball rolling down a hill soon turns into a gigantic snowball that’s too heavy to lift, our decision to show love instead of anger can have a gigantic impact on the people around us. John 13:34-35, Love One Another

💕HANGING OUT:
Make this week's lesson real:

Have a hugging contest this week. See how many times you or your kid initiates an unexpected hug. Make sure to say “I love you” with each embrace.

🍴AT DINNER:
Here are some great discussion starters:

What “new” command did Jesus give to his disciples?
What made this command new?
What are some ways we can show love to one another?

🐻AT BEDTIME:
Quiz your child on this week's memory verse:

"A person with a bad temper stirs up conflict. But a person who is patient calms things down.” Proverbs 15:18 (NIRV)

In our 3-6 year-old classes we will be starting with a brand new series this Sunday!!

Mary came to Jesus with a pretty small problem: they had run out of wine to drink at the wedding party. Jesus showed that whether the problems are big or small, He can fix them all.

BOTTOM LINE: Jesus cares. . . even about the small stuff.

Do not miss out!

Make it Stick! (3-6 Year Old)

🚖DRIVING:
Ask your child what they learned about this week on the drive home:
As you get into the car, pray for God to protect you on your journey. When you arrive, say a pray of thanks to God for keeping you safe.

🛝PLAYING:
Make this week’s lesson real:
Retell the story of Daniel and the Lion’s Den from Daniel 6. Your kids and their friends
can alternate playing Daniel while the others play lions. You can play the role of the
angel of God, who enters the den and shuts the mouths of the lions. Alternately, recreate the scene with building blocks.

🍴EATING:
During the mealtime prayer, recount all the places you’ve been and all the things you’ve done throughout the day. Recognize the ways God has watched over you and protected you through it all. Thank God for helping you to be safe.

🐻SNUGGLING:
Snuggle up together and read the memory verse together: “My help comes from the
Lord.” Psalm 121:2a (NIrV). Talk about ways that God helps us be safe.
