Jesus Is Lord Over Every Area
“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:10-11
“Why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?”
Luke 6:46
Reflection
Saying “Jesus is Lord” isn’t just a phrase we sing on Sunday. Lordship means He has the final say. Over your time, your decisions, your fears, your relationships, your finances, your future.
When Jesus is Lord, delay doesn’t get the last word. When He’s Lord, dry bones can live again. When He’s Lord, you don’t have to strive to control what you were never meant to carry.
Lordship is surrender, but it’s also security. If He’s Lord, then nothing in your life is outside His authority to redeem, reorder, and restore. The areas you’ve kept hidden, the plans you’ve stalled, the doors that feel shut, they all respond to His name.
Application for Today
1. Name the area: Where have you been holding back from saying “Jesus, You’re Lord here”?
2. Surrender it: Speak it out loud. “Jesus, You are Lord over my.”
3. Listen and obey: Lordship means obedience.
Prayer
Jesus, You are Lord over my life. Not just in word, but in practice. I surrender the areas I’ve been holding onto. Speak, and I will listen. Command, and I will obey. Let Your lordship bring order where there’s been chaos, peace where there’s been fear, and breakthrough where there’s been delay.
From this morning forward, I choose to live under Your rule. Every knee in my life bows to You. In Jesus name
Amen.
Declaration
