THE TRANSFER OF MANTLES
Mantles are transferred through diligent service, not merely by prophetic declarations, Visions or dreams. Our generation often yearns to operate in a realm of grandeur, power, anointing, and blessings without putting in the requisite effort. Many are misguided by those who fail to stress the significance of a rigorous process, thorough training, and mentorship in receiving the transfer of a mantle.
The Bible exemplifies that authentic transfer of anointing and authority comes through serving under established leaders in the faith who demonstrate sound doctrine in Christ Jesus and learning from their experiences with God, His people, and the work of the ministry. There are no overnight sensations in the Bible; instead, we witness exemplary models of mentorship and discipleship, such as Elijah and Elisha, Moses and Joshua, and Paul and Timothy.
The pursuit of shortcuts, buying one's way into ministry, or seeking validation through associations erodes the integrity of the genuine call of God. Let's prioritize humility, obedience, and perseverance, recognizing that authentic ministry development requires unwavering dedication and unrelenting hard work.
I have been privileged to be prayed for and have had the laying on of hands by notable generals of our generation, including Rev. Eastwood Anaba, Rev. Clement Anchebah, Prophet Kweku Nii Okai, Dr. Paul Enenche, Apostle Johnson Suleman, and the late Dr. Lester Donald Hughes Jr. However, I understand that the transfer of a mantle requires more than just a prophetic prayer or laying on of hands; it demands service and discipleship.
The danger of this generation is that once they have one encounter with a highly respected man of God, they call it a transfer of mantle. If that is the case, most people prayed for by men of God would have a transfer of mantle. My personal experience with the late Senior Prophet Dr. Bernard Opoku Nsiah is a testament to the power of mentorship. I served under him, stayed with him in his house, attended his Bible school, Agabus Prophetic and Theological Institute, and furthered my degree in theology with Faith Bible College South Africa, affiliated with Gideon Robert University.
Our relationship grew over the years, and I learned valuable lessons from him. He visited my family and me, as well as our church, in 2015. My family has known him for 35 years now. The relationship, which started with my grandmother and aunt, later benefited me. He sent 15 CRIM Pastors to bury my late grandmother, Rev. Victoria Kwampah, when she passed away in 2004 in Ho. Whenever he is in town (South Africa) and doesn't come to us, he invites me over to spend time with him.
Similarly, my relationships with Prophet Christopher Yaw Annor, Apostle Strike Manganyi, and Professor Ronnie Moodley have been instrumental in my growth and development over two decades and still continue to be a blessing to my life, family, and ministry. These experiences have taught me that the transfer of mantles is not about paying dues (money) or seeking prophetic words but about pure love for the calling and serving God's people.
Some can argue that God's anointing can't be limited by human processes, but the Scripture can't be broken. Even the New Testament Paul, after his encounter with Jesus, needed Ananias to fulfill his calling. Every validation regarding the things of God must be Scripture-founded, not based on assumptions. Our generation needs uncompromising messages on mantles to eradicate the error of shortcuts and understand the significance of a rigorous process, thorough training, and mentorship. Blessings to everyone upholding the truth of the Word. The transfer of mantles is possible through mentorship, discipleship, and passing the test of serving, as exemplified in the lives of biblical leaders.
God bless you all!
