Today we rejoice as Allan Gareth Thomas and Jayesh Khameer Singh publicly professed their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ through the waters of baptism.

What a joy to witness God’s grace at work in their lives and to celebrate with them as a church family. May the Lord strengthen them to walk faithfully with Christ, growing in love, holiness, and perseverance.

“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

Please join us in praying for Allan and Jayesh as they continue their journey of discipleship.

Soli Deo Gloria.

We discuss how true transformation comes from within, using the analogy of a mango tree that can only produce mangoes. We explore the idea that without a fundamental inner change through Christ, external efforts to improve oneself are ultimately superficial.

God saves us through Christ and gives us His Spirit so that our lives — once controlled by the flesh — can become a new creation that produces the true and lasting fruit of the Spirit.

*📣 Family Bible Hour Invitation — “Friendship and Fellowship with God”*

*Cambridge Baptist Church | This Sunday before the Morning Service*

Dear brothers and sisters,

This Sunday in *Family Bible Hour* we’ll be listening to and discussing another stirring episode from A Walk with Mr. O by *Stuart Olyott* — Part 1: Friends and Part 2: Our Pastor Has Crashed.

In this beautiful and honest conversation, Mr. O talks about *true friendship* — the kind that is loyal, honest, and life-giving — and then shares how the Lord restored him after deep exhaustion in ministry.
He reminds us that *God doesn’t simply want our work; He wants us.*
He delights in His people and calls us, not first to serve Him, but to walk with Him as His friends.

You’ll be encouraged to:
💬 See what the Bible teaches about genuine friendship and loyalty.
💧 Learn how Jesus befriends sinners and calls us into fellowship with Himself.
❤️ Remember that God desires your company more than your performance.
🌿 Rest again in the truth that *“Jesus is enough.”*

If you’ve not been coming to Family Bible Hour recently, this is a perfect week to return.
Come and listen. Come and discuss. Come and be refreshed in the love of Christ who says,

“No longer do I call you servants… but I have called you friends.” — John 15:15

*🕙 Time:* Before the Morning Service @8:15-9:15am
*📍 Place:* Cambridge Baptist Church Prayer Room

Let’s learn together how to live, serve, and rest as friends of God.
Bring your Bible — and a friend!

Warmly in Christ,
Pastor Siya

📣 This Sunday — A Special Celebration! 🎉

Dear Church Family,

We have not yet had an opportunity to pause together and praise our Lord for the incredible milestone that our church has reached this year — 120 years since its establishment in 1905. What a blessing! 🙌

So this coming Sunday we invite you warmly to join us for a service of thanksgiving, worship and reflection. We are honoured to host Ronald Kalifungwa, Pastor of Lusaka Baptist Church in Zambia (with over 34 years in pastoral ministry, lecturer at the African Christian University, and acting Principal of Lusaka Ministerial College).

Pastor Ronald will bring us God’s Word from Revelation 1:12-13 and 2:1-3, a passage in which the risen Christ is among the lampstands, and addresses the church in Ephesus. As we celebrate 120 years of our church’s faithfulness and calling, this text is especially fitting:

“Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking … and among the lamp-stands was one like a son of man.” (Rev 1:12-13)
“To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: … you have borne up for my name’s sake and have not grown weary.” (Rev 2:1-3)

Just as Christ stands among the lamp-stands, so He has stood with our church through 120 years — guiding, strengthening, preserving. And just as the church in Ephesus was urged to remember her first love and press on, so we too are called to give thanks for the past, and commit to faithfulness in the future.

Please come and bring your family, friends and neighbours — let us gather to sing, to give thanks, to listen to God’s Word together, and to look forward in hope to what He will do. Let’s fill the house and make this a joyous occasion of worship and unity.

📍 Time: This Sunday at [9:30am]
📍 Place: [Cambridge Baptist Church, 7 Hebbes Street, Cambridge, East London, South Africa]

Come expecting, come thankful, come ready to praise God for 120 years of His faithfulness. We look forward to seeing you there — together we rejoice in what He has done and trust Him for what He will do.

In Christ’s service,
Pastor Siyabulela Zalabe

🎉 Celebrating 100 Years of God’s Faithfulness — Happy Birthday, Mr. Aubrey Braun!

Today we give thanks to God for the remarkable life of Mr. Aubrey Braun, who turns 100 years old! What a milestone — and what a testimony of the Lord’s faithfulness through the seasons of life.

When the psalmist writes,

“The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning” (Lamentations 3:22–23),
we see those words lived out in Aubrey’s life.

Over a century of days, joys, and trials — through times of strength and seasons of weakness — the Lord has carried him. As Isaiah 46:4 reminds us,

“Even to your old age I am He, and to gray hairs I will carry you.”

Just last month, during a pastoral visit, I was reminded again of the quiet strength and grace that mark both Aubrey and his dear wife, Aggie. Though age and illness bring their challenges, their faith remains unshaken. Each morning they open God’s Word together, reading devotionals and praying side by side. Their bodies may be slowing down, but their hearts are full of gratitude and joy in the Lord.

Aubrey’s life tells the story of a faithful God who never fails His people. From his younger years of service and work to his later years of rest and reflection, the same Lord who called him has continued to keep him. His words during our last visit still echo: with a smile, he said, “I’m hopeful but realistic—only the Lord knows if I’ll reach 100.”

Well, the Lord knew — and in His goodness, He has granted this day!

This morning, I called Aubrey to wish him a happy birthday. I said, “May the Lord add many more years to your life,” and in his gentle, humble way, he chuckled and replied, “We will see.” That simple answer reflects a heart that trusts completely in God’s timing — hopeful, thankful, and surrendered to the Lord’s will.

Today we celebrate not only a long life but a life well lived — a life anchored in Christ, strengthened by grace, and overflowing with thanksgiving. Aubrey and Aggie’s example encourages all of us to keep trusting, keep rejoicing, and keep walking with the Lord no matter our season.

As a church family, we thank God for both of them. We praise Him for sustaining Aubrey to this milestone, and we continue to pray for His comfort and healing hand.

May this special day be filled with joy, peace, and the warmth of God’s presence. And may the testimony of a century of grace remind us all that the God who has carried Aubrey thus far will carry each of us — all the way home.

“The righteous flourish like the palm tree and grow like a cedar in Lebanon... They still bear fruit in old age; they are ever full of sap and green, to declare that the Lord is upright.”
— Psalm 92:12, 14–15

Happy 100th Birthday, Mr. Aubrey Braun!
We thank God for you. 🌿🎂

🙏 Grateful for a Gospel-filled Weekend at CBC!

This past weekend, we were deeply blessed to have Pastor Lwandiso Dlokweni with us — preaching the same Christ-centered message across all our gatherings!

From the Connect Youth and ECHO Junior Youth events to our Sunday Worship Service, Pastor Lwandiso reminded us that “the mind of Christ is the impulse of the church.”

Through Philippians 2, we were challenged to see Christ — the greatest missionary — who left heaven for earth, gave Himself for sinners, and now calls His church to go, give, and lay ourselves down for the sake of the gospel.

Thank you, Pastor Lwandiso, for faithfully proclaiming God’s Word and stirring our hearts for Christ’s mission. May the Lord continue to use you mightily for His glory and the spread of His kingdom! 🌍🔥
