Pastors Leslie and Norma Hessel are the founding pastors of The Shield which opened its doors in October 2009. Being in the ministry since 2001, they have actively build God’s Kingdom in various churches whilst forming part of pastoral teams. In 2008 God released them to start Shield Ministries, the travelling ministry related to The Shield. With a grown up family (Garry, Deborah and Sharon) out o

f the home they have made spreading the Gospel a priority in their lives as they pursue establishing His kingdom on this earth. Being entrepreneurial in nature, Leslie and Norma have started various businesses during the years and are still actively involved in the market place. Using every possible channel to impact the world for Jesus is not only a dream, but a practical reality in living the life God has destined for them.
