The Father’s Care.

Jesus came to reveal God not as a distant ruler, but as our loving Father.

In His prayer for His disciples, He said, “I have manifested Your name” (John 17:6–11). When He taught us how to pray, He began with these comforting words:
“Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.”
— Matthew 6:9 (NKJV)

In every distress, every fear, and every need, we can confidently come before the throne of grace. The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and His ears are attentive to their prayers (1 Peter 3:12).

Consider the story of Hagar (Genesis 21:14–20).

Abandoned in the wilderness with her son, she found herself without water, without help, and without hope. The earthly father was absent, but the Heavenly Father was present. He saw her tears, heard the cry of the boy, and in her moment of greatest need, He opened her eyes to a well of water nearby and provided for them.

Even when others leave, He remains faithful.
Our Heavenly Father knows exactly what we need even before we ask Him (Matthew 6:32), and He lovingly invites us to cast all our cares upon Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7).

Today's Reminder:

Whatever we may be facing today, we must remember that we have a Father in heaven who sees us, hears us, and cares deeply for us. He knows our need, understands our situation, and is able to provide.

We are never alone.

Drink from the Wells of Salvation.

In John 4:5–15, the Lord Jesus Christ revealed the mystery of being born again. Speaking to the Samaritan woman, He offered her living water that would satisfy her thirst forever. This living water refers to the life-giving Word of God that He speaks.

Jesus further explained this in John 7:37–38:
"If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water."

The rivers of living water flowing from a believer represent a vibrant and personal relationship with God. As believers share the Word with others, they become channels of God's life, bringing spiritual refreshment and transformation to those who hear.

Being born again is essential in the Kingdom of God. Jesus told Nicodemus, "Unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God" (John 3:3). Without the new birth, the eyes of spiritual understanding remain closed to the mysteries of God's Word.

The new birth occurs when a person receives the incorruptible seed of God's Word. As Peter writes, "Having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God" (1 Peter 1:23).

Isaiah 12:3 declares, "Therefore with joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation."

The born-again experience is not merely a religious event; it is the beginning of a life filled with joy, spiritual understanding, and victory in Christ. Come and drink from the wells of salvation, and experience the overflowing life that only Jesus can give.

Enter His Rest.

In Mark 4:35–41, Jesus was disappointed by the level of faith His disciples showed, and that is sobering. These were the same men who had witnessed and even participated in incredible miracles, including feeding thousands. Yet when the storm hit, fear completely took over.

Sound familiar?

Even after all God has done in our lives, we can still find ourselves overwhelmed by the storms we face.

But Hebrews 4 offers us a beautiful invitation: “Since the promise of entering His rest remains… we who have believed enter that rest.”

What makes this truth so powerful is this: the work was already finished before the foundation of the world. Everything needed for our redemption and our freedom was completed by God long before we were born. Nothing is left undone.

Our part is simply to trust in what He has already accomplished.

As Romans 8:32 reminds us: “If God did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?”

This is the unshakable faithfulness of God.

So no matter what storm we are facing right now, let's choose to trust Him. The work is finished. The promise still stands.

Today, enter His rest.

zōē UNLEASHED

Last week, we looked at Ananias and Sapphira and rejected the simplistic religious reading. We didn’t see an angry God striking people down, but we saw the inescapable logic of the finished work: performance is not just unnecessary… it is self-defeating. It robs one of the very life they already have in Christ.

This week in Acts 5 we see what happened when a people FULLY LAND in that reality:

👉 A deep holy awe swept the entire Church (not fear of wrath, but wonder at real grace).
👉 Signs and wonders broke out through the apostles.
👉 Sick people were laid in the streets so that Peter’s shadow might touch them. Multitudes were healed as a result.
👉 Religious leaders were left speechless.
👉 Prisons couldn’t hold them. An angel opened the doors and said, “Go back to the temple and mirror-reflect this zōē-life.”
👉 Beaten and threatened? They walked out rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer for His name… and kept teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ every single day.

This is not a first-century anomaly.
This is the NORMAL expression of a community that has stopped performing grace and started BEING what Christ has already made them.

The zōē-life (the very God-kind of life) is not a theory to sustain. It is a reality to inhabit.

Prisons open.
Shadows heal.
Opposition doesn’t stop us but it confirms we are on the right track.
And the proclamation never ceases.

This is the Church Jesus said He would build. The gates of Hades will not prevail against it.

Let’s be that Church.

Ananias and Sapphira: A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE.

There are passages we tend to read quickly and move on from. Acts 5:1–10 is one of them.

We summarise it like this: “They lied. They died. God is holy. Be warned. Next chapter.”

But what if rushing past this story causes us to carry a distorted picture of God, one that the finished work of Jesus directly contradicts?

COMMON UNDERSTANDING:
God struck two sinners dead as a warning to the church.

A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE:
Two believers stepped out of the life of grace and into the tragedy of pretence.

In Acts 4, the early church was marked by "one heart, one soul", and "great grace" upon them all. Barnabas sold land and gave generously. Ananias and Sapphira wanted the same recognition, but chose to lie about their gift while keeping back part of the money.

Peter’s words are revealing: “While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control?”

The SIN WASN’T THE MONEY. It was the PRETENCE. The performance. The deception in the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Instead of receiving Peter’s words as CORRECTION, Ananias received them as CONDEMNATION, and it cost him his life. The same happened with Sapphira.

This WASN’T THE FATHER SUDDENLY REVERTING TO OLD COVENANT JUDGMENT. All judgment was absorbed at the cross. Jesus didn’t come to continue the ministry of condemnation, He came to end it (2 Cor 3:7-9, 5:19).

Ananias and Sapphira had entered the New Covenant community. They had access to the Spirit. But in that moment, they chose image management over grace… and the consequence of living disconnected from the reality of the finished work was death.

Jesus Himself warned us not to assume sudden death equals greater sin (Luke 13:1-5). Let’s not pass judgment on them, but let’s also not miss the warning.

The story doesn’t become less serious when read through the lens of grace. It becomes MORE serious in a different direction.

God is not the danger in this story. Living outside of the freedom and grace He freely gave us is the danger.

Grace is sacred. Let’s guard it with our hearts.

01/05/2026

After healing a lame man, Peter didn't stop at the miracle, he pointed to the MESSAGE behind it. A message that carries a powerful invitation still open to us today:

✅ Repent (metanoeō — a complete change of mind)
✅ Return to God
✅ Enter into the restoration of all things

Here's what Acts 3:17-26 teaches us:

👉 Ignorance Doesn't Cancel God's Plan.
The very people who rejected Jesus unknowingly fulfilled prophecy. God's Kingdom is never stopped by human failure. Sin didn't stop redemption — it activated it.
👉 Repentance is Kingdom Realignment.
Metanoeō means a change of mind, a shift in understanding, and a transformation that leads to a new way of living. This is not behaviour modification — it is stepping into alignment with the Kingdom of God.
👉 The Kingdom Brings Times of Refreshing.
Verse 19 promises "times of refreshing" from the very presence of the Lord. Spiritual renewal and restoration are not reserved for the future — they are available right now.
👉 The Kingdom Has Two Dimensions.
We live between the already and the not yet. The Kingdom is here — present in transformation and the work of the Holy Spirit. And it is coming — in full restoration when all creation is aligned with God.
👉 The Kingdom Was Always God's Plan.
From Abraham to the prophets, God was always pointing to this moment. The Kingdom is not a New Testament idea — it is the fulfilment of every covenant promise God ever made.
👉 Kingdom Participation Begins With Receiving What Christ Brought.
Jesus was sent to bless us "by turning away every one of you from your iniquities." God's blessing is not just provision — it is transformation. The greatest evidence of the Kingdom is a changed life, a renewed mind, and a restored relationship with God.

The Kingdom of God is not far but it is available now.

Repentance leads to right standing with God, times of refreshing, and participation in restoration.

"Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord." Acts 3:19

24/04/2026

God’s kingdom does not advance through human power or spectacle, but through the name of Jesus.

Acts 3:11-16 NKJV
As the lame man held on to Peter and John, the people ran together, greatly amazed. Peter immediately corrected them:
“Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk? ... And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong... Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.”

3 Powerful Truths from this story:

1. The Kingdom Deflects Glory from People to God
The crowd wanted to give credit to Peter and John. Peter quickly redirected them: “Why do you stare at us as if by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?”
In God’s Kingdom, we are not the stars — Jesus is. Every miracle, every testimony, every changed life must point people to Him, not to us. We must decrease so that He may increase (John 3:30). Fight pride. Redirect the glory. Always.

2. The Kingdom Centres on the Glorified Servant Jesus
Peter pointed to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob — the same covenant God who glorified His Servant Jesus. The very people who denied the Holy One, chose a murderer over Him, and killed the Prince of Life — God raised Him from the dead.
The cross was not defeat. The resurrection launched the King’s reign. The Kingdom of God is the reign of this specific King: crucified, risen, and exalted.

3. The Kingdom Operates by Faith in Jesus’ Name
“And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong.”
Not magic. Not apostolic talent. It was the power of Jesus’ name, released through faith. That same name carries all His authority, character, and saving power today. Where faith in Jesus is present, the power of the Kingdom flows.

In Closing:

This is more than a healing story. It is a declaration that God’s Kingdom has broken into our world through Jesus Christ. The same power that healed the lame man is still available today to heal our spiritual lameness, forgive our rejection of Him, and turn us into bold witnesses of His resurrection power.

Let every miracle, every blessing, and every testimony point back to Jesus alone.

Called to Dominion | Occupying Until Jesus Comes Again | Nomazulu Hadebe

In Matthew 28:18-19, Jesus gives every believer a clear and powerful mandate: "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit." This was not a suggestion, it was a commission. A divine assignment sealed by the authority of the risen Christ.

Standing on the authority of His finished work at Calvary and the power of His resurrection, we are emboldened to walk in the fullness of who He declares us to be. We are not defined by our past, our limitations, or the opinions of the world. We are the Redeemed, the Light of the World, and Ambassadors of the Kingdom of God — chosen, appointed, and sent.

In Christ, we are fully equipped to fulfil the very purpose that brought Him from heaven to earth. We are called to exercise dominion over our circumstances, our communities, and every sphere of influence we occupy. Dominion NOT OF FORCE OR PRIDE, BUT OF FAITH, LOVE, AND THE TRANSFORMING POWER OF THE GOSPEL. Not passively waiting for change, but actively becoming the change He has ordained.

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free" (Galatians 5:1). The chains have already been broken. The price has already been paid. And just as God has promised, "Their sins and lawless deeds I will remember no more" (Hebrews 10:17). That same liberating truth is the message we carry to a broken and searching world. People all around us are bound by shame, fear, sin, and hopelessness. We have the answer. We carry the keys.

As we have freely received, so we must freely give this Good News (Matthew 10:8). The Great Commission is not the responsibility of a few — it belongs to every believer. In our homes, workplaces, neighbourhoods, and nations, we are called to occupy; to plant, to build, to disciple until the King Himself returns.

We are not merely surviving; we are occupying, advancing, and reigning in life through Christ Jesus.
