This Sunday, we launch our new sermon series “ACTS: The Church In Motion”

The book of Acts is more than history, it’s a picture of what happens when ordinary people are filled with extraordinary faith.

In this series, we’ll explore what it means to live a faith that moves:
Moving in purpose
Moving in unity
Moving in mission

As we work through Acts together, our prayer is that we learn how to be the kind of church that lives boldly, loves deeply, and carries the message of Jesus into every space we enter.

Join us this Sunday at 9:00AM as we begin this exciting new series.

PENTECOST SUNDAY

Sundays at Frontier Church are the highlight of our week. We love getting to see all your beautiful smiles and welcoming you in with big hugs.
This Sunday, we celebrated Aunty Glynis’s birthday. The family prayed a blessing over her, and we sang her a heartfelt birthday song together.
Jenny shared her testimony with the church, speaking about the power of prayer and obedience, encouraging everyone that our God is the God of answered prayers.
Paula led a beautiful worship set, and as you looked across the room, you could see so many people deeply engaged in worship.
This Sunday also marked the final part of our series, “The Time Between.” Mike spoke about Pentecost—what it is, why we celebrate it, and what we can still take away from it as a church today.
Main points from the message:
-God gives believers the Holy Spirit
-The Holy Spirit empowers us to live for Christ
-The Gospel is for every nation and every person
-We are called to walk in faith, unity, and boldness

Acts 1:8 — “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you…”
Joel 2:28 — “God promises to pour out His Spirit on all people.”

There was such a sense of warmth and community after the service as people mingled and enjoyed fellowship together. These photos say it all—we are a diverse family, with a lot of love.

How beautiful are the golden and red hues as the sunset last Sunday's EVENING SERVICE?! A time of contemplation...

We had a wonderful turn out, there is a need for this kind of haven. A place where the soul can find peace and rest.

Matthew 11:28-30
28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

There was some very profound sharing at the end. His ministry is love, healing and grace... So gentle.
Eternally grateful.

What is Pentecost?

Pentecost is a very important Christian celebration that takes place 50 days after Easter Sunday. Pentecost marks the moment when God poured out the Holy Spirit on believers, empowering them to live for Christ and share the Gospel with the world. It is often called the “Birthday of the Church” because this was the beginning of the Church’s public ministry on earth.

The Biblical Foundation

The story of Pentecost is found in the book of Acts 2:1–31. After Jesus died, rose again, and ascended into heaven, His followers gathered together in Jerusalem as He had instructed them. While they were praying, the Holy Spirit came upon them in a powerful way:
"When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them". - Acts 2:1-31

This fulfilled Jesus’ promise that the Holy Spirit would come to guide, strengthen, and empower believers.

Pentecost reminds us that:
-God gives believers the Holy Spirit
-The Holy Spirit empowers us to live for Christ
-The Gospel is for every nation and every person
-We are called to walk in faith, unity, and boldness

Key Bible Verses
Acts 1:8 — “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you…”
Acts 2:4 — “All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit…”
Joel 2:28 — God promises to pour out His Spirit on all people.
John 14:26 — Jesus promises the Helper, the Holy Spirit.

Conclusion
Pentecost is a celebration of God’s power, presence, and promise. It reminds Christians that they are never alone because the Holy Spirit guides and strengthens them. It also reminds the Church of its mission to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ throughout the world.

SUNDAY MORNING

Sunday morning was filled with bright sunshine, warm welcomes, and joyful fellowship as church family gathered together.

A few friendly faces stood at the front to greet everyone arriving, sharing smiles and hugs as the barn slowly filled.

Little green chairs had been thoughtfully placed near the front so the younger children could stay close by during the service.

Of course, those same green chairs quickly became the centre of attention for one curious little girl, who happily carried and dragged them around one by one. Her playful energy brought plenty of smiles and laughter.

Worship was heartfelt, with everyone joining in, everyone’s voice’s creating a cacophony of praise.

Mike’s message continued with our series “The Time Between”. Focusing on the ascension. The message spoke deeply to many hearts through God’s word and afterward there was a time of ministry.

The morning came to a close with warm conversations, hugs, and meaningful moments shared among church family.

ASCENSION DAY

Today we celebrate the beautiful truth of Ascension Day, the glorious moment when our Lord Jesus Christ, having fully completed His work of redemption through the cross and resurrection, ascended into heaven and was seated at the right hand of the Father (Acts 1:9).

This is far more than a historical event, it is a living reminder of Christ’s victory and the incredible inheritance we have in Him!

Jesus did not ascend in defeat, but in complete triumph. Sin was conquered, the curse was broken, and the power of the enemy was defeated forever. And because we belong to Him, His victory is now our victory too!

Declaration of Faith...
“I am seated with Christ in heavenly places. I rise above every challenge. I walk in victory, authority, and power. The Spirit of God lives in me, and I fulfill my God-given purpose in Jesus’ Name.
Amen!”

May your heart be filled with peace, strength, and joy as you continue to walk in the fullness of His victory and grace.

Happy Ascension Day! Keep shining, keep believing, and keep walking in His triumph.

MOTHER’S DAY

This Sunday, we celebrated mothers, mother figures, spiritual moms, and all the remarkable women in our church community.

The day began with a warm welcome from Johan and a touching word from Mike to the moms and those who may be grieving, followed by Paula who shared a bit abot the Mother’s Day gifts. This weeks worship ministered to many hearts and was a declaration of his goodness, Thank you to Alison for her prophetic dance, her interpretation of the music, guided by the Holy Spirit, was truly beautiful!

Mike continued with part four of our series “The Time Between’’. The teaching was about Paul’s letter to the church in Corinth. 1 Corinthians 15:1–8 reminds believers that Jesus’ resurrection was witnessed by many people.

Paul specifically mentions that Jesus appeared to more than 500 people at one time. This was important because it showed there were many eyewitnesses who could confirm that Jesus truly rose from the dead.

The purpose of the message was to strengthen faith and remove doubt. The resurrection was not presented as a rumor or a private experience, but as a real event seen by many witnesses. Through this, the message encouraged people to trust in the truth of Jesus’ resurrection and to live with confidence and hope.

After the service, each lady received two small, clay fridge magnets handmade by Paula and Summer, as well as a Mother’s Day prayer.

We also set up a delightful tea and cake spread for everyone to enjoy, along with a photobooth where families could capture special moments with their moms, wives, sisters, aunts, grandmothers, and friends.

Another AMAZING Sunday at Frontier Church!
