This Sunday was a standalone service, with many of our church family away, unwell, or unable to attend due to the Comrades Marathon.
While our gathering was smaller than usual, it was still a special time of fellowship, worship, and encouragement as we came together in God's presence.
Johan shared a message on learning to trust God. Looking at Numbers 23:19, we were reminded that God is faithful and true to His word. We reflected on the wonder and wisdom of God from Romans 11:33, and were encouraged by Proverbs 3:5 to trust in the Lord wholeheartedly rather than relying on our own understanding. It was a timely reminder that God is in control, that we can rest securely in Him, and that the outcome of our circumstances ultimately rests in His hands rather than our own efforts.
We had an extended time of worship together. This allowed people slow down and spend time in God's presence.
For anyone who would like the song list, we sang:
Way Maker – Leeland
Highlands (Song of Ascent) – Hillsong UNITED, Benjamin William Hastings
Who You Say I Am – Shane & Shane, Dinah Smith
Day for Singing – Mission House, Cecily
Glorious Day – Passion, Kristian Stanfill
There’s No One Like Jesus / Cast Your Burdens – Gas Street Music, KXC, Zo Ross-Wadell, Taku Mudere
Children’s Ministry was led by Aunty Shelley, and the children spent time learning about prayer. This was followed by a fun activity that helped reinforce the lesson in a practical way.
We are grateful for everyone who was able to join us.
