Worshipping idols created by human craftsmanship is sinful in the eyes of God. As stated in Isaiah 40:19-20, the practice is meaningless. The craftsman chooses a tree, cuts it, and then shapes it with a chisel. Similar to a scarecrow in a cucumber field, these idols cannot talk or move, necessitating human carrying.
