We are excited to invite you to our upcoming Career Expo taking place on the 17th of April at the MISPA Church in Clermont (150 Clermont Road). This initiative is aimed at supporting all Grade 11 and Matric learners in applying to university and encouraging them to confidently pursue their desired career paths.
On the day, we will have delegates from various universities who will provide valuable insight into their institutions, including available courses and the academic requirements needed for acceptance.
As the youth committee, we will be assisting learners with their CAO applications, which are currently open. We will also provide guidance on NSFAS applications, which will take place once they officially open towards the end of the year.
Because of this, we kindly ask that all pupils come prepared with the necessary documents to ensure a smooth application process. The CAO application fee is a maximum of R300.
We’ve taken this step because we’ve seen how easily applications can be rejected due to small, avoidable mistakes—even when a learner qualifies.
Our goal is to guide and support each applicant to improve their chances of success.
Please note:
• The event is open not only to the Clermont circuit but also to other St John’s branches
• Learners are required to attend in full school uniform
• Learners must bring certified copies of their ID documents
• Learners must also bring their most recent report cards (end of 2025 or 1st term results)
• The minimum requirement is that learners should have at least a Level 2 in all subjects on their most recent report
• We understand that the event will take place on a school day. The church will therefore provide consent forms for learners who will need permission to be absent from school on the day
