John 3:16 KJV - " For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

It's easy to say I love you to somebody when things are going great but I am sure there are days where you're feeling lost, feeling alone and helpless it's even more harder because you are so consumed with worry, doubt, anger frustration etc.

Jesus showed us in this scripture that his father was prepared to allow his son to go through the mill and experience pain and allow people to torture him and ridicule him and Jesus even asked "My God, My God, why has thou forsaken me."

Let me assure you that in no way did God forsake Jesus and in the same manner neither has he forgotten about us.

Love is far greater than any circumstance or situation. Love when you can't! Smile when you don't have a reason to! Give to those who need it more when you yourself don't have enough!

Showing love comes from within and it is a trait that is contagious. On the cross Jesus knew in his heart that his father would never forsake him and he said "Father it is finished." Jesus still showed love with those words after all the things that God allowed him to go through.

The greatest gift you can ever give someone is your love. Don't ever underestimate the power of a simple smile, it can change the world.

If you love, love sincerely and without boundaries!

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

We are called to be the SALT and LIGHT of the earth. But what does that really mean.

In bible days salt was used for the preservation of food. So wherever we are we need to work hard to preserve our world from sin and evil. Salt is also used to enhance flavor and add taste. Add flavor to the world by being a positive influence, as salt has a positive influence on the flavor of the food it is used on. Where there is fighting, we must be peacemakers; where there is sorrow, we are to be the ministers of Christ, binding up wounds, and where there is hatred, we are to show the love of God. To be the light you must shine before the world in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify Jesus Christ.

The Lord...hears the prayer of the righteous.

Proverbs 15:29

God Hears Your Prayers
In her sadness and anguish, a barren woman went to the temple of God to pray. Weeping, she poured out her heart to God. She didn’t pray audibly, moving only her lips as she talked to God about her request for a child.

When the temple’s priest saw the way she prayed, he assumed that she was drunk and promptly admonished her. She had to tell him that she wasn’t drunk, and that in her sorrow she was pouring out her soul to God.

The priest then told her, “Go in peace, and the God of Israel grant your petition which you have asked of Him” (1 Samuel 1:17). It wasn’t long after that this woman, Hannah, conceived and bore a son, Samuel. Inaudible or soft as her prayer was, God heard it and fulfilled her wish for a child!

Beloved, it’s not about how long or short, how loudly or softly you pray, but who you pray to that matters. Today, when you pray, be conscious that you have the ear and attention of your heavenly Father, who so loves you and hears your prayers because you are righteous in Christ. And if He loves you enough to give you heaven’s best—Jesus, how will He not with Jesus also freely give you all things (Romans 8:32)

THOSE WHO WAIT UPON THE LORD (Part 1)

A teaching by Reverend Robert Saminathan

BASED ON ISAIAH 40:31 - But those who wait upon the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Part One: QAVAH

Qavah is the Hebrew word meaning:
1. To bind together (perhaps by twisting)
2. To collect
Genesis 1:9 - And God said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so.
Isaiah 60:9 - Surely the islands look to me; in the lead are the ships of Tarshish, bringing your children from afar, with their silver and gold, to the honor of the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor.
Jeremiah 3:17 - At that time they will call Jerusalem the Throne of the LORD, and all nations will gather in Jerusalem to honor the name of the LORD. No longer will they follow the stubbornness of their evil hearts
3. To be gathered together; be joined; to meet; to be in wait for someone; to expect, await; look for patiently; trust to be enduring another kind of strength.
Psalms 56:6 - They conspire, they lurk, and they watch my steps, hoping to take my life.
Psalms 119:95 - The wicked are waiting to destroy me, but I will ponder your statutes.
Psalms 25:3 - No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame, but shame will come on those who are treacherous without cause.
Psalms 37:9 - For those who are evil will be destroyed, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land.
Psalms 69:6 - Lord, the LORD Almighty, may those who hope in you not be disgraced because of me; God of Israel, may those who seek you not be put to shame because of me

Psalms 27:14 - Wait on the Lord; be of good courage and he shall strengthen thine heart; wait, I say, on the Lord.

CHARACTER BUILDING ...by Roland Saminathan(16 January 2016)

1. TAKE A LOOK IN THE MIRROR AND START WORKING ON YOURSELF:

1 Timothy 4:12 says "Dont let anyone look down upon you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity."
There are days when you become angry and frustrated, when you are forced to become someone that you are not, when people bring you down, dont allow these words to get to you. Take a look at your life. Evaluate yourself and start working on your flaws.
REV 14:12

2. SELFLESS LOVE:

1 Corinthians 13:4-4
1 John 4-8
Philippians 2:3-4 says "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the other. "

3. WAITING ON GOD:

Psalms 37:7 says "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in thier ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes."

It's a good thing to wait upon the Lord because it teaches discipline, patience and tolerance. When we wait upon the Lord and dwell in his word, he begins to talk to us.

- Make time to read your bible
- Make time for prayer
- Make time for fun and laughter

Come out of fasting a changed person. Renewed by the holy spirit. Be an example that others follow.

Mathew 5:14-16

BUILD A BETTER YOU.
