CELEBRATING 30TH YEARS OF GOD'S CALLING
The Liberation Mandate is what we refer to as the Commission, because that was where everything began. It was delivered on a most dramatic and awesome platform. The following was how the Mandate was delivered.
I was on a trip to Kaduna, Nigeria on April 20th 1994, on a visit to see my elder brother that I have not heard from for some time. I was planning to spend some time with him and also looking out for what to do with my life. This was how I came into my place of encounter.
After three weeks of arrival at my brother's place, I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit on me, so I decided to pray for some few hours before I went to bed. On that night of 14th May 1994, the Lord spoke to me in a long hour’s vision. In that great vision, I hear a loud cry of many people; I was so moved with compassion than I began to run fast looking for the places where the crying is coming from. Then I saw many uncountable in chains, in rags, men and women in pains, weeping, singing sorrowful songs been beating by demons and wailing begging me to save them. I saw all kinds of deformities, that I was greatly bewildered. The vision was so real and powerful that I joined them in crying, because I couldn't bear the level of agony they were going through as they were subject to pains and agony. At the end of this terrible agonizing sight, “Lord, what is this? I asked. I hear God said to me, “Bring them together preach, teach and break every chains of the devil in their lives.” I broke down the more in tears, in the midst of all that I kept asking, “But Lord what is this? And I heard God saying distinctly to me, “Now Go forth and liberate the world through the preaching and teaching the word of liberation through faith setting people free from all oppressions of the devil.” My sobbing become even more intense as I asked the Lord, “why me?” I had always thought I would remain as a worker in the church, where I would be a blessing to the kingdom through my services. However, I woke up from the night vision, fully persuaded of God's calling upon my life into the ministry. This was how I received the Liberation Mandate.
