Yesterday for the first time since our priest started offering free whole body workout sessions I decided to go. Yes I only made it half way through but it was soooooo good. Congregation we cannot allow our priest to be fitter than us. So if you don't go to gym and can spare half an hour on a Monday evening from 6pm to 6:30pm. Please join in and become a better steward of your body. Stay blessed and remember our Father loves you unconditionally.

Today we had the first of our entrepreneurial functions and it went very well. The Ladies Home Executive Ideas breakfast was a pleasant morning filled with lots of chatter and good food. Thank you to all the ladies and Mervyn Singh for attending.

Unity is not the same as uniformity. Unity . . . is the reconciliation of differences, and those differences must be maintained—and yet overcome!

The Great Expectation.

The Great Expectation.

On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” After He said this, He showed them His hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the L...

She, the Holy Spirit breaks through our barriers.

The Holy Spirit breaks through our barriers.

The Holy Spirit breaks through our barriers.

God has grown accustomed to our small and cowardly ways of waiting behind closed doors of fear and self-doubt. God knows that we settle for easy certitudes instead of Gospel freedom, for a small god instead of a Big Mystery. Yet God seems surely determined to break through.

The Holy Spirit comes from a place that we cannot control!!!!! Amen

The day of Pentecost frees the apostles to believe in a God who is actively involved in their lives and no longer a mere intellectual belief. The Holy Spirit has become wind, fire, joy, excitement, universal shareability, and not just another boring Sabbath obligation or more commandments to obe...

Please sign this to show your support and add pressure to the Honduran Congress.

In days the Honduran Congress will vote to jail women who use emergency contraception. But the head of Congress is keen to improve his international image and run for President, so our outcry now can stop this. Sign the petition!

Distractions hold onto them but do not let them hold unto us

Distractions hold onto them but do not let them hold unto us

Prayer is not the avoidance of distractions, but precisely how you deal with distractions. Contemplation is not the avoidance of the problem, but a daily merging with the problem, and finding its full resolution. It is a way “to look over [our] shoulder” for God (the brilliant insight of the ano...

Okay and this from an English woman.

At this time in history, the contemporary choice offered most Americans is between unstable correctness (liberals) and stable illusion (conservatives)! What a choice! It has little to do with real transformation in either case. How different from the radical orthodoxy of T. S. Eliot, who can say...
