Petrol and diesel prices hiked again — the 4th increase in just 10 days! After pushing Indian economy into crisis through failed foreign and economic policy - especially the mortgaging of the country's foreign policy and trade interests to the US-Israel axis, the Modi-BJP government is now making ordinary people pay the price.

Every fuel price hike hits agriculture, transport, and essential goods — pushing inflation higher and deepening the economic distress faced by millions.

*Du’a Arafah of Imam Husain ibn Ali (a.s.)*

Praise be to God, against Whose decree there is no defender, against Whose gift there is no preventer, and the work of whose workmanship cannot be equaled by the work of any maker.

He is the Generous, the Bestower. He created creation through His power and spread them abroad through His mercy.

So exalted is His face that He should take a son, and too high is He that a peer should touch Him.

Glory be to You, there is no god but You. Glory be to You, surely I have been of the wrongdoers.

My God, You are the One to whom voices speak secretly, and You are the One who perceives thoughts and the contents of consciences.

You are the One who sees the places where things are hidden, and You are the One to whom the boundaries of things terminate.

You are the One who does not break Your promise, and You are the One who does not go back on Your threat.

You are the One who benefits by every good favor, and You are the One who repels every evil.

My God, how can something be used as proof for You, when it is itself in need of You for its existence?

Or could there be for other-than-You an appearance that is not for You, so that it would be that which manifests You?

When were You absent so that You would need a proof to point to You?

And when were You far so that the traces would be what would bring one to You?

Blind be the eye that does not see You!

And a loser be the deal of a servant for whom You have not made a portion from Yourself!

And how can he be wretched who has You to take care of his affair?

And how can he be fortunate who turns away from You to someone else?

To whom has he who found You lost out? And what has he who lost You found?

He who is satisfied with other-than-You has indeed been deprived, and he who inclines to other-than-You has indeed been disappointed.

My God, I ask You by Your independence from me that You be gracious to me with Your generosity toward me.

My God, how can I be disappointed while You are my hope? How can I be forsaken while You are my support?

My God, You commanded me and I disobeyed You. You forbade me and I rode into what You forbade me from.

So glory be to You! How just You are in what You decreed, and how excellent You are in what You tried me with!

My obligation to You is fulfilled by Your conferring blessings upon me, and my excuse before You is made clear by Your leniency toward me.

You have not ceased to do good to me, and I have not ceased to be evil toward You and to transgress against You.

My God, do not take me to task for what I forgot, and do not take me to task for what I was ignorant of.

My God, my sins are too many for me to enumerate, but my hope in Your pardon is greater than my sins.

So pardon me, O Most Merciful of the merciful.

My God, I ask Your forgiveness for every sin I deliberately committed and every mistake I made in error.

My sin is great, but Your pardon is greater. My disobedience is much, but Your mercy is vaster.

So pardon me, O Generous One. O Generous One. O Generous One.

My God, I ask You to make the best of my life its end, and the best of my deeds their conclusion, and the best of my days the day I meet You.

O God, if You are not angry with me, then I do not care. Other than that, Your pardon is more expansive for me.

So I ask You, O Lord, by Your noble face, to make me among those whose striving You accepted, whose deed You accepted, and whose faults You pardoned.

O God, make me among those who were successful, and do not make me among those who were deprived.

O God, make my heart attached to You, and make my longing for meeting You intense.

O God, I seek refuge in You from a heart that is not humble, from a soul that is not satisfied, and from a supplication that is not heard.

O God, I ask You for steadfastness in the affair, and for determination in right guidance, and for gratitude for Your blessing, and for good worship of You.

O God, I ask You for a sound heart and a truthful tongue.

O God, I ask You for the good of what You know, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of what You know, and I ask Your forgiveness for what You know.

You are the Knower of the unseen.

O God, make me among those who are patient, those who are grateful, those who are fearing, those who turn to You in repentance, those who are humble.

O God, make me among those who remember You much and thank You much.

O God, make me satisfied with what You have allotted for me, and bless me in what You have given me, and make me among the grateful for it.

O God, make me among those who are pleased with You in every state.

O God, I ask You for good in my religion, my worldly life, my family, and my wealth.

O God, veil my faults, secure my fears, and suffice me against the evil of what I fear.

O God, do not take away Your covering from me in this world and the hereafter.

O God, I ask You for Paradise and what brings me near to it of word and deed, and I seek refuge in You from the Fire and what brings me near to it of word and deed.

O God, I ask You for what Your righteous servants ask You for, and I seek refuge in You from what Your righteous servants seek refuge in You from.

O Lord, do not leave me to myself for the blinking of an eye, and set right for me all my affairs. There is no god but You.

O God, I seek refuge in You from being tried in my religion, from humiliation before my enemies, and from the gloating of the malicious.

O God, make my end good, and make my return to You good, and do not disgrace me on the Day of Resurrection.

O God, have mercy on me when my voice is cut off, when my movement ceases, and when my relatives and friends forsake me.

O God, have mercy on me when I am carried to my grave alone, and when I am left in it alone, and when I am questioned in it alone.

O God, do not leave me to my own soul, for it commands to evil, except with Your mercy.

O God, forgive me, have mercy on me, pardon me, and be gracious to me.

You are my Protector in this world and the hereafter. Cause me to die as a Muslim, and join me with the righteous.

O God, I ask You for a near mercy, for an established guidance, for a lasting blessing, and for a righteous deed accepted from me.

O God, I ask You for safety on the Day of Fear, and for security on the Day of the Greatest Terror.

O God, I ask You for the Gardens of Eden, whose doors are open to me.

O God, I ask You for Your pleasure and Paradise, and I seek refuge in You from Your wrath and the Fire.

O God, bless Muhammad and the Family of Muhammad, and forgive me, have mercy on me, and accept my repentance. You are the Oft-Returning, the Merciful.
