Nhasi tataura about Building a Life That Does Not Collapse. (TAKE YOUR TIME AND READ)
OPENING SCRIPTURE
Matthew 7:24–27 “Naizvozvo munhu anonzwa mashoko angu aya, uye akaaita, akafanana nemurume akachenjera uyo akavaka imba yake paruware. Mvura yakanaya, nzizi dzikazara, uye dutu remhepo rakauya rikarova imba iya, asi haina kuputsika, nokuti hwaro hwayo hwaiva paruware. Asi munhu wose anonzwa mashoko angu aya akasaaita, akafanana nomurume benzi akavakira imba yake mujecha. Mvura yakanaya, nzizi dzikazara, uye dutu remhepo rakauya rikarova imba iya ikawa nokuwa kukuru.”
Jesus speaks of two builders. Both hear the Word. Both build a house. Both face storms. The difference is not the storm. The difference is the foundation.
Everyone is building something. A family. A reputation. A future. A faith. The real question is not whether storms will come. The real question is what will still be standing when they arrive.
FOUNDATIONS ARE LAID BEFORE STORMS ARRIVE
Scripture: Matthew 7:24
“Everyone who hears these words of Mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.”
Truth:
Foundations are invisible, but they carry everything.
You do not build foundations in the rain. You build them in the calm.
Bible Story:
Noah built the ark when there was no rain. People mocked him because they could not see the storm coming. When the rain came, preparation spoke louder than opinions.
Many people wait for crisis before they pray, forgive, or change. By then, the ground is already shaking.
HEARING GOD IS NOT THE SAME AS OBEYING GOD
Scripture: Matthew 7:26
“Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not put them into practice…”
Truth:
Knowledge without obedience creates spiritual weakness.
Information builds confidence. Obedience builds stability.
Bible Story:
King Saul knew God’s instructions, but he chose partial obedience. His kingdom collapsed slowly, not suddenly.
People know what is right but delay it. They know they should forgive, stop lying, change habits, and return to God. Delay weakens the structure.
STORMS DO NOT DESTROY STRONG FOUNDATIONS
Scripture: Matthew 7:25
“The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, yet it did not fall.”
Truth:
Storms are not proof that God has left you.
Pressure does not break a solid life. It proves it.
Bible Story:
Joseph faced betrayal, prison, and false accusation. His foundation in God kept him steady when everything else was unstable.
Some people panic when trouble comes and say God has failed them. The storm is not the enemy. Weak foundations are.
PRIVATE LIFE DECIDES PUBLIC OUTCOMES
Scripture: Luke 16:10
“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much.”
Truth:
What you do alone shapes what you survive in public.
A life built in secret stands in public storms.
Bible Story:
David learned to trust God in fields before he stood before Goliath. The victory people celebrated was built where nobody was watching.
Prayer, honesty, discipline, and repentance feel small, but they quietly hold a lifetime together.
SMALL COMPROMISES CREATE BIG COLLAPSES
Scripture: Song of Songs 2:15
“The little foxes that ruin the vineyards.”
Truth:
Collapse begins quietly.
What you excuse today will weaken you tomorrow.
Bible Story:
Samson did not fall in one moment. He fell one decision at a time. Strength left slowly before it left completely.
Unaddressed anger, secret sin, dishonesty, and pride are cracks in the wall. They do not look dangerous until the storm hits.
GOD BUILDS FROM THE INSIDE OUT
Scripture: Proverbs 4:23
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”
Truth:
God is more concerned with who you are becoming than what you are achieving.
God is not decorating your life. He is reinforcing it.
Bible Story:
Mary was chosen not because of status, but because of surrender. God trusted her heart before He trusted her assignment.
People focus on image. God focuses on alignment. Character outlives applause.
A LIFE WITHOUT GOD CANNOT CARRY LIFE’S WEIGHT
Scripture: Psalm 127:1
“Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.”
Truth:
Human strength has limits.
You can be successful and still be fragile.
Bible Story:
The rich fool built bigger barns but ignored his soul. His life collapsed in a single night.
Money, connections, and intelligence help, but they cannot hold grief, loss, guilt, or death.
Some people listening are tired of rebuilding. Tired of starting again. Tired of holding pieces together.
God is not condemning you for past collapses. He is inviting you to build differently.
God does not shame broken builders. He teaches them how to build again.
If you have built on emotions, people, habits, or success, today is a chance to rebuild.
If your spiritual life has been neglected, today is a chance to return. If your life feels strong outside but weak inside, today is a chance to realign.
Storms will come. Life will shake. The question is not if you will face pressure. The question is whether you will still be standing.
