The Swami Sivananda Fellowship of South Africa held a joint function on the 6th of June 2021 at the A***n Benevolent Home in Chatsworth.
The purpose was to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the A***n Benevolent Home, which has its spiritual teachings taken from Maharishi Swami Dayananda.
The Swami Sivananda Fellowship also celebrated the arrival of Swami Venkatesananda, who was sent to South Africa by the Founder of the Divine Life Society, Sri Swami Sivananda, on the 6th of June 1961. It marked 60 years since his first arrival. Mata Yogeshwari from Ananda Kutir in Cape Town was one of Swami Venkatesananda’s foremost disciple and is still a Yoga Master at the age of 95.
Tribute was paid to the founders of the A***n Benevolent Home and the current CEO and Swamis.
