Today's service was led by Rector Deon Adams, who was joined by Priest Charl Gouws.

Our scripture reading for today was taken from Luke 8:16. 🙏
No one lights a lamp and hides it in a jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light.

The choir then followed beautifully with the hymn - Thy word is a lamp.

We are reminded that the truth of the Gospel should be shared openly, not hidden, revealing God's work and truth. The light represents the Word of God or Jesus' message and is meant to be visible and functional, not hidden or concealed.

May we all be a light to one another blessed week. 🙏

Today, we celebrated a special divine service for Palm Sunday. 🌴

The service was conducted by Shepherd Pienaar from the Woodlands congregation, with Priest Hinrichsen assisting.

Our biblical text was taken from:
Luke 19:36-37.
As he went along, people spread their cloaks on the road. When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen.

The service concluded with the hymn - The Lord is King. 🎵

Our divine service was conducted by Rector Deon Adams and Evangelist Mark Hinrichen was called to serve along.

Our bible text was:
Matthew 26:29
I tell you, I will not drink from this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.”

At the conclusion of the words of institution, Jesus utters a remarkable declaration, “But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom” (Matthew 26: 29). These words provide a perspective that transcends the present. Whenever we participate in Holy Communion, we not only commemorate the cross, but also experience the deepening and strengthening of our fellowship as believers. At the same time, it alludes to a future reality.

The Choir concluded the service with the hymn- We worship the Lord. 🙏🏼

Today's service was led by Rector Deon Adams, who was joined by Priest Charl Gouws.

Our scripture reading for today was taken from - John 13:5 🙏🏼
After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around.

Jesus washing the feet of His disciples is a profound demonstration of the boundless love of Christ. Despite being fully aware of the betrayal and unfaithfulness, He chooses to wash their feet, establishing a powerful standard for all who seek to follow in His footsteps. The Son of God graciously kneels before His disciples, pours water into a basin, and begins to wash their feet. What John 13: 5 recounts is far more than a peripheral scene to the Passion narrative. This act represents the very heart and soul of Jesus Christ: His infinite love, His remarkable humility, and His unwavering devotion.

This is a reminders that true service does not wait for ideal conditions. Blessed are those who practice love and humility

Are we prepared to follow Jesus example and kneel down? Are we willing to surrender our own primacy, to treat others with love and humility?

Today's divine service was held by Rector Deon Adams and Priest Charl Gouws served along.

Our bible reading came from:
Matthew 17:5 🙏🏼
While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!

God acknowledged His Son not only at the time of His baptism, but also when His end was imminent. God manifested Himself in the form of a bright cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” For the eyewitnesses Peter, John, and James it became clear that Jesus is the Messiah, invested with divine authority.
Today, God reveals Himself through the sacraments of baptism and sealing. Those who seek to please God take Christ as their example: they renounce evil and sin, allow love to prevail, remain faithful, and orient themselves to His word.

May you all have a blessed week. 🤍
