Good evening, beautiful souls ❤️
Tonight, I want us to begin with one simple question:
WHO AM I?
And before you answer...
I’m not asking for your name.
I’m not asking what job you do.
I’m not asking how much money you have.
I’m not asking what you’ve achieved.
And I’m not asking what other people think about you.
I’m asking:
Who are YOU?
Because if my identity comes from my job, what happens if I lose my job?
If my identity comes from money, what happens when the money disappears?
If my identity comes from people’s approval, what happens when people stop approving of me?
So let’s go right back to the beginning.
The Bible says:
“So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them…”
— Genesis 1:27
Before the Bible tells us what we should achieve, it tells us something about who we are.
We were created by God.
We were created *in His image.*
That means your value didn’t begin when you became successful.
And your value doesn’t disappear because you’ve failed, made mistakes, or gone through difficult seasons.
Tonight, I don’t want to explain everything about what “made in God’s image”means.
We’ll go deeper into that next.
For now, just ask yourself:
What have I been allowing to define me?
My career?
My money?
My past?
My mistakes?
My appearance?
My relationships?
What people think about me?
You don’t have to answer in the group unless you want to.
Just be honest with yourself.
And please, don’t believe this simply because I said it.
When you have a few minutes, open your Bible and read:
Genesis 1:26–28
Tomorrow, we’ll ask:
What does it actually mean to be created in the image of God?
Goodnight, beautiful souls. ❤️
Thats Something to think about.
