Truth brings light into our hearts, but lies create darkness within. When we choose truth, we walk in the light of God; when we believe lies, we separate ourselves from His truth. Let your words and your life reflect the truth of Christ.

LIES HAVE CONSEQUENCES

Ananias and Sapphira — they lied about the money they gave and faced God’s judgment. (Acts 5:1–10)

Gehazi — he lied to Naaman and was struck with leprosy. (2 Kings 5:20–27)

Abraham — he said Sarah was his sister instead of his wife, which brought trouble and confusion. (Genesis 12:10–20)

SUNDAY|LIVESTREAM SERVICE
MINISTERING PASTOR Z.PHIRI

Then Jesus left the vicinity of Tyre and went through Sidon, down to the Sea of Galilee and into the region of the Decapolis. There some people brought to him a man who was deaf and could hardly talk, and they begged Jesus to place his hand on him. Mark 7:31-36

As Jesus went from one place to another, the people followed Him because they had seen Him multiply bread. They had witnessed the miracle, but they failed to discern the revelation behind the miracle. They saw the bread, but they missed the Bread of Life. They saw what Jesus could give them, but they did not understand who Jesus was. When He moved to another place, they followed Him—not because they desired the Word that gives eternal life, but because they wanted more bread and fish. This reveals a danger in our walk with Christ: we can become so focused on what Jesus can give us that we fail to know the One who gives it.

There is a deeper dimension to following Jesus. We must not follow Christ merely because of blessings, miracles, healing, provision, or what He can do for us. We must follow Him because the Holy Spirit has revealed to us who He is. The blessing may satisfy the body for a moment, but the Word nourishes the spirit and leads to eternal life. Many can follow Jesus when the bread is being multiplied, but true disciples continue following Him when the bread is no longer in their hands. True disciples do not measure their relationship with Christ by what they receive from Him; they remain with Him because they have discovered that He Himself is the treasure.

This is why the cost of discipleship matters. When the teaching became difficult, many disciples turned back because they were following Jesus without understanding the depth of His Word and the cost of surrender. Jesus never called us to a life of convenience; He called us to take up our cross and follow Him. The cross speaks of death to self, obedience, sacrifice, endurance, and complete surrender. We must not abandon Christ when the journey becomes difficult. The same Christ who is worthy when He multiplies the bread is worthy when He leads us through the wilderness. Our faith must not be built on what is easy, but on the revelation of who He is.

The bread will perish, but the Word endures forever. What is physical is temporary, but what comes from God carries eternal value. Even the miracles of Jesus were never meant to become the destination. They were signs pointing people to the Son and revealing the glory of the Father. When Jesus healed the sick, opened blind eyes, restored the deaf, and enabled the mute to speak, He was not performing for entertainment or seeking human attention. His works revealed the power, mercy, and glory of God. The miracle was a sign, but Christ was the revelation behind the sign.

When they brought to Jesus a man who was deaf and could hardly speak, Jesus restored him. What the crowd saw as a miracle was also a revelation of the compassion and authority of Christ. Therefore, let us not become so occupied with the blessing that we forget the Blesser, or so fascinated by the miracle that we miss the revelation of Christ. Do not follow Jesus merely for bread, fish, healing, provision, or breakthrough. Follow Him because you have come to know Him. The blessing may be temporary, the bread may perish, and the miracle may pass, but the Word of God remains forever, and Christ is the eternal treasure.

Let us follow Jesus with understanding, revelation, obedience, and faith. For there is a difference between following Christ for His hand and following Him for His heart; between seeking what He can give and seeking who He is. May we come to the place where we can say, like Peter, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.” (John 6:68)

Disrespecting parents is not something God takes lightly. The Bible teaches us to honour our father and mother, because honour carries a promise from God. Ephesians 6:2

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens. The is a time to be silent and a time to speak.

As a leader, learn to discern the right time to speak and the right time to be silent. Not every battle needs your voice, and not every situation needs an immediate response. True leadership is demonstrated through wisdom, self-control, and knowing when silence speaks louder than words.

Happy birthday, Mom. Today I celebrate not only your birthday, but the beautiful woman who raised me, loved me, supported me, and stood by me through every season of my life. Your love, sacrifices, prayers, and presence have shaped the person I am today, and I will forever be grateful to God for giving me a mother like you. May God preserve you, uplift you, and bless you with many more years of life, peace, joy, and good health. I love you, Mom, and I pray that God continues to keep you for us. In Jesus’ name.

WEDNESDAY|LIVESTREAM SERVICE
MINISTERING EVANGELIST S.PHIRI

The true identity of a child of God is revealed by the Spirit who leads them. Scripture says, “For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God” (Romans 8:14).

You cannot call yourself a child of God while continually resisting the Holy Spirit. The child of God is not self-governed; he is governed by the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit does not merely dwell within you; He desires to lead you, correct you, transform you, and bring your life into alignment with the will of God.

Those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. When He speaks, you listen. When He convicts you, you repent. When He corrects you, you submit. When He directs you, you obey. The Holy Spirit must have authority over your thoughts, desires, decisions, and conduct. You cannot ask the Holy Spirit to use you while refusing to surrender to His leadership. His presence in you must produce obedience.

There is a distinction between those who are governed by the flesh and those who are governed by the Spirit. The child of God is identified by a life surrendered to the government of the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit who bears witness within us that we are children of God. He confirms our identity as sons and daughters of God and leads us into the purposes of the Father.

Therefore, never reject the leadership of the Holy Spirit. If you choose to walk without His direction, you can stumble in your marriage, in your personal life, and even in ministry. No matter how gifted you are, how anointed you may be, or how much experience you have gained, you still need the Holy Spirit to lead you.

Never become so familiar with the things of God that you outgrow your dependence on the Spirit of God. Anointing does not replace obedience. Gifts do not replace submission. Experience does not replace the leadership of the Holy Spirit. Many people begin well under the guidance of the Spirit, but as they grow, they begin trusting their own understanding and stop allowing Him to lead them. That is a dangerous place to be.

Therefore, remain yielded. Remain teachable. Remain obedient. Let the Holy Spirit lead you in your marriage, in your life, in your ministry, and in every decision you make. Because when you reject the leadership of the Holy Spirit, you expose yourself to unnecessary failure along the journey. But when you surrender to His leadership, He orders your steps according to the will of God.

In the book of Ezekiel, we see the four living creatures moving according to the Spirit of God. Wherever the Spirit went, they went; and when the Spirit did not move, they did not move. Their movement was completely governed by the Spirit. This teaches us that our lives must also be governed by the Holy Spirit. We must not move according to our own understanding.

emotions, or desires. When the Spirit says move, we move; when He says wait, we wait; and when He says stand, we stand. Our minds, our decisions, and our steps must be surrendered to the Spirit of God, because a Spirit-led life is a life that moves according to the direction of God.
