Past John Liebenberg
“Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece. And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart. And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them. And they departed, and went through the towns, preaching the gospel, and healing every where. Now Herod the tetrarch heard of all that was done by him: and he was perplexed, because that it was said of some, that John was risen from the dead; and of some, that Elias had appeared; and of others, that one of the old prophets was risen again.”
Luke 9:1-8 KJV
THE DISCIPLES LISTENED TO THE INSTRUCTIONS:
When God gave you instructions it means that failure is not an option but success is guaranteed.
The disciples walked with Jesus and learned from Him every day. He taught them, guided them, and gave them power and authority to do His work.
The same power, healing, and presence of God are available to us today. When you opened your hands, it was an act of faith to receive what God has given you.
God has given us power and authority through Jesus. We must only believe and trust in Him.
The disciples knew they were walking with someone special, but they did not fully understand who Jesus truly was. Yet God had already given them everything they needed.
Today, we are also anointed and empowered by God. Just as the disciples needed Jesus, we need godly people in our lives to guide us, correct us, and help us grow.
The disciples went through a process of learning and discipleship. In the same way, leaders and believers today must be taught and trained.
You can do greater things, but you need someone to walk alongside you, encourage you, and help you grow in the things of God.
