A TURNED HEEL (Order and Honour)

We see the unbelieving Jews accusing Jesus of being a demon possessed Samaritan, yet the way Jesus replies them is astounding. He says I HAVE NOT A DEVIL BUT I HONOUR MY FATHER".

Jesus in this passage of scripture associates demon possession with dishonour and disorder. He gives the Jews a clue on how to diagnose a demon possessed person and that would be by analyzing his nature of honor and order, meaning; the more you maintain order and honour the more healthy you are spiritually.
Where there is violation of order there is prone to be dishonour and where there is dishonour there is presence of demonic activity and possession.

What Jesus was telling the Jews was that, no man can have a demon possessing him and yet maintain order of authority and honour that authority, demon possessed people are subject to dishonour and disorder and that is how you know if you operate by the spirit of the devil or of God. Thus said to the Jews that their father was satan, because there was no honour in them for Jesus Christ.

A marriage where the wife is the head and the husband is dishonoured, A home where children call the shots and excercise authority over their parents etc. Are signs of demonic possession and satanic rulership, for where there devil is God's order is violated, where one who should be submitting takes authority over his master or one he should honour. The same applies with a demon infested ministry where the overseer is held in disregard.

Jesus honoured the Father
His disciples honour Him
Godly men honour the king
Wifes honour their husbands
Children honour their parents
Servants honour their masters

If God had set authority above you, honour it, because through honour we will know what manner of spirit is in you. Honour is not just sn attitude of the heart, it is aldo a sign of spiritual maturity and sanity.

A TURNED HEEL

If Judas was so close to Christ, then why did the devil possess him.
It is because the proximity of Judas to Jesus was only as far as being close and near to Him.

In the scene of the last passover feast/The Last Supper, we see a fulfillment of the scripture that said: "The one who shared my bread with me, has turned his heel against Me"

Judas' proximity with Jesus was so close that he sahred bread with him, yet he is highlighted amongst the greatest offenders of the the Lord. Why? Because the closer the proximity of an evil man, the great his ability to harm.

The answer lies in the possition. Jesus called His disciples to the position of intimacy, not near to Him but in Him. We are called to be inside and not next to Jesus, gor no matter how close the branch can be to a tree somuch that it can touch the stock but as long as it's not inside it cannot bear fruit.

You are still susceptible to the devil's power and possession because you are settling to be near Jesus, from today be inside Jesus and not near.

1 Cor 16:9
We hear Paul write to the Corinthians that a great and effective door 🚪 has been opened for him in Ephesus BUT MANY ARE HIS ADVERSERIES.

Where there is adversity there is an adversary at work, without adversaries no man would suffer adversity therefore at times your adversity is a result of your surrendering and people you allow in your space.

Adversaries enjoy seeing you downcast, discouraged, in misery, failure and ineffective.
These only celebrate you when, swim in the same pool of unforgiveness, bitterness, pains of the past, addictions, alcoholism, wild parties etc. Until you taje a U-turn to open great and effective doors, they will remain you friends. They'd rather see you in a tavern than at school, in streetcorners than in business hubs, in wild parties than in the house of God, in worldly promiscuous lusts of fornication than a married wife/husband, THEY ARE SIMPLY DOORKEEPERS.

Adversaries are enemies of the cross, of salvation because they know it is a great door for you to recieve eternal life and to begin living in effectiveness, great doors and great opportunities will always attract adversaries in your life because they know that through those doors you will begin to become effective.

Adversaries are enemies of effectiveness, progress and success, therefore there are doors that are only found in certain environments for you great doors that will make you effective in your God given purpose and assignment they are already opened and waiting for you to take a step and enter in.

It's not too late repent and be born again, understand and walk in your assignment and purpose, rise and shine access those great doors remain in environments that provide such doors and don't be moved or shaken.

Carefully select your environments and your surroundings they can either make you or break you.

SERMON HIGHLIGHT (GOD'S PREFIX IS RE-)
GARDEN MATTERS

A curse was declared upon Adam by God after his disobedience to God.
God said cursed is the ground because of you and in pain shall you cultivate from it.
OUT OF THE SWEAT 😓 OF YOUR FOREHEAD SHALL YOU EAT UNTIL YOU RETURN TO THE GROUND.

This a heavy sentence released by God to Adam in the garden and because of that we all had to be partakers of the consequences of our ancestor Adam, whom by his disobedience we should carry a heavy yoke of labouring hard in pain and tears in order to have our daily bread and meal until we die.

GOOD NEWS
Jesus knowing that the problems of menkind begun in the garden, He had to end them in the garden.
The bible records that when Jesus was in THE GARDEN OF GETHSEMANE HE TRAVAILED IN PRAYER UNTIL SWEAT FELL OUT OF HIM LIKE BLOOD.

Why is that? It is because the curse of hard labour and toiling hard to eat until we die was released at the graden therefore the curse of sweat was reversed in the garden.
Now goodness and mercy follows you all the days of your life, all else is bound to follow you instead of sweating in labour, pain and tears, you are blessed with blessed Abraham, poverty and lack are not your portion, Jesus shall give you your daily bread and every supply. You will not suffer the generational consequences of those who were before you.

I DECLARE AND I DECREE YOU WILL EAT YOUR BREAD IN JOY TILL THE END OF YOUR DAYS.
THESE ARE GARDEN MATTERS WHAT STARTED IN THE GARDEN MUST BE DEALT WITH IN THE GARDEN.

If you think Jesus walking on water was a wonder enough, Jesus walks upon the wings 🪽 of the wind and the same we see ascending to the very throne of God. Jesus defied the laws of nature, He did not only cause water molecules to solidify under His feet but also wind particles to surrender their principles under His feet I thought wind blows but wind flies it has wings and the Lord knows the the wings of the wind are located that He walks upon them.

MEN OF THE STANDARD

When you are tempted to turn away from the Lord due to trial and yet refuse.
When you are tempted to compromise your faith to turn to other gods and still refuse.
When you could've opened your mouth to gossip yet briddled your tongue from saying a word.
When could've opted to hate your enemy, yet you settled for repaying evil with good.
When you could've held a grudge yet chose to forgive.
When you were tempted to sleep with that person before marriage, or be unfaithful to your spouse during marriage.
You could've chosen to surrender your body to get that job.
You could've opted to do shady business.

Yet in all these and more you refused to let down the standard of the blood of Jesus Christ. In the midst of all hardship, while others turned away fromthe living God and some compromised, you chose to suffer with Him, to serve Him and truly worship Him. AT ALL TIME YOUR EAR IS OPENED TO HIS WORD.

THIS IS ALL BECAUSE YOU ARE THE MAN OF THE STANDARD.

MEN OF THE STANDARD

The motive of following Jesus Christ determines the standard you have in Him.
We see a multitude that followed Jesus and for the days they have been following, they had not eaten, so much that Jesus had compassion on them and multiplied bread for them to eat and be filled. These, the bible addresses them as the disciples of Jesus Christ but when Jesus told them to eat Him as the bread of life they were offended and nolonger walked with Him from that day, Jesus said His word has no place in them yet they were His disciples. The Jesus said are like their rebelious fathers who ate manna in the wilderness and still died. In other words miracles, blessings and breakthroughs are not the standard to Everlasting life for many who partook in them will still die because these are bread for only this life and not the next.

Yet among them were those who were entrusted with the baskets to destrubute bread to and fish to them and the same crossed over Jordan and faced a horrible storm in the midst of the waters.
These are those whom, after the multitude left, they remained behind and when Jesus asked if they wish to follow the multitude, Peter replied if we were to depart from you to whom shall we go for YOU ALONE GIVE US THE WORDS OF EVERLASTING LIFE.

That is exactly how you know if you are a man of the standard and that you are walking with men of the standard, be it in church, in marriage, in fellowship, in friendship etc. Men of the standard value the word of God as the srandard of their lives, everything they do is governed by His word, they cannot compromise it nor excahnge it for anything nor for anyone. As a man of the standard, the word of God always has a place in you, your standard is not the Job, a prosperous business, educational sucess, healing, deliverance, though the above are part of the package yet they are not the standard but whether God gives you a job, heals you, blesses or not you remain in Him in all seasons, in the crossing over seasons of the storm and the seasons of multiplied bread He remains God, because His word is your standard.

Men of the the standard are repentant and hungry of Christ as the bread of life they are hungry for intimacy they fast for a better relationship with God, they pray for better character in Christ, their hinger and thirst is righteousness and they are filled. And multiplied bread becomes part of the package that follows them and the same manifest this standard in their marriages, workplaces, businesses and communities.

I SEE THE LORD RAISING MEN OF THE STANDARD THIS SEASON, MEN WHO ARE AFTER GOD AND NOT HIS THINGS YET HIS THINGS WILL BE AFTER THEM AND YOU ARE ONE OF THEM.
