Three names are mentioned without fail when we discuss the New Testament versions from 1881 vs the KJV of 1611, as well as other English Bibles before the KJV. They are
1. Dr. Brooke Foss Westcott.
2. Dr. Fenton John Anthony Hort.
3. Dr. Ebernard Nestle.
Their names are mentioned on hard copies of your Bible translation (if it is not the KJV) in the first few pages.
Their strategy was to add, delete and remove from the Holy Bible as given by GOD.
Their mission was to erode the Word of GOD and they did BUT GOD PRESERVED it in the KJV.
It is sad to see leaders of congregations use the Bibles produced by these Bible haters.
If you don't know these characters as mentioned above as well as their contribution to the ongoing Bible debates leading to confusion in the present day, you are not ready to discuss the Bible translations issue. Sit it out.
People have been sold several lies...
(a). The KJV is hard to understand.
This has been done through producing "easier to read" and "easier to understand" Bibles.
(b). Nobody speaks English like the KJV today.
You have no idea what you are talking about. Until you know the real meaning behind "thee", "thine", "thou", "ye" and "your", you will forever miss the true revelation of the Word of GOD.
Truth is, most English phrases have been taken from the KJV.
- "closer than a brother",
- "an apple of his eye",
- "caught between two opinions", etc.
I will stop right here for now.
